Portrayed by Steve Peacocke, Brax became a fan favourite, snagging Logie Awards for Most Popular New Male Talent and Most Popular Actor and touring Ireland doing Q&As

Fans of Home and Away are bound to reminisce fondly about the days when the River Boys stirred up Summer Bay.

The Braxton siblings – Heath, Brax, and Casey – captured hearts across the town upon their 2011 arrival, with Brax making a striking impression with his iconic “Blood and Sand” tattoo.

Brax’s tumultuous journey in the show concluded with his final scenes shot in late 2014 and on-screen departure on the 10th of June 2015, after years of causing a stir in the bay, including serving 15 years behind bars for manslaughter.

Portrayed by Steve Peacocke, Brax became a fan favourite, snagging Logie Awards for Most Popular New Male Talent and Most Popular Actor.

Let’s delve into what he’s been doing since waving goodbye to Summer Bay in 2015.

Aiming for new acting heights, he departed Summer Bay for Hollywood, though the way his last scenes were crafted, viewers haven’t lost hope for his return someday.

Post Home and Away, he landed roles in various productions, such as Stephanos in 2014’s Hercules, starring alongside Dwyane ‘The Rock’ Johnson, then as Nic in Whiskey Tango Foxtrot with Tina Fey in 2016, and he appeared in Me Before You with Game of Thrones lead Emilia Clarke the same year.

His charm has won over hearts in Ireland, earning him a slew of paid appearances at nightspots all around the country.

2015 witnessed what came to be known as “a farewell tour” with the star engaging with fans during Q&A sessions in locations such as the Hillgrove in Kerry, the Garavogue in Sligo and The Foundry on John Street, Waterford.

Away from the spotlight, he has been happily married since 2014.

Steve has been smitten with actress Bridgette Sneddon ever since they crossed paths at the University of Western Sydney’s acting course back in 2005.

Bridgette graced screens as Sophie Taylor in Home and Away from 2014 until 2015, and together they’ve shrugged off baseless gossip claiming there was an “off screen chemistry” between Steve and Bonnie Sveen, his co-star who portrays Ricky Sharpe, his character’s girlfriend on the show.

A low-key couple, Steve expressed to News Corp Australia just how “bizarre” and “annoying” he finds the baseless gossip.

The pair shared their engagement joy on the 7th of March 2014 and exchanged vows in an enchanting Christmas Eve ceremony the same year, on the 24th of December, surrounded by their nearest and dearest in a private celebration.

The couple have a child together. In August 2023, Stephen talked about fatherhood.

“You take it in your stride,” he said. “It’s a bit less sleep but it is all good.”
