Juliet Godwin plays Dr Bree Cameron on the ever-popular Australian soap, and sadly she’s been rumoured to exit the soap this year – here we take a look at her personal life
Juiet Godwin first appeared as Dr Bree Cameron on Home and Away back in 2022, and since then, she’s become a firm favourite among fans.
Despite being a new character at the time, she took on an important storyline: highlighting domestic violence.
Dr Bree first arrived in Summer Bay when she took over running the emergency department from Dr Logan Bennett.
After a short time, her jealous and abusive husband Jacob appeared on the scene. As the abuse became worse, Dr Bree tried to get a restraining order against him, but Jacob kidnapped her and took her to a remote area.
After she spotted him digging a grave, she struck him with a shovel in self-defence, and Jacob succumbed to his injuries.
Juliet’s acting skills have definitely made an impact on Home and Away fans, and there was uproar when rumours began to swirl about her possible exit.

Here, we take a look at the actress’ personal life, from her upbringing in Zimbabwe to her romance with boyfriend Sam.
Juliet was born on May 6, 1994, making her 31 years old.
Juliet was born in Zimbabwe and she lived there until she was six, when her family moved to Perth in Australia.
She has many happy memories of visiting her grandmother, who lived in Cape Town, South Africa, as a child.
“My family used to travel to Cape Town every year to visit my grandparents and holiday at the beautiful beachside town, Pringle Bay. I have the best memories of looking for sea anemones with my Granny Godwin; she showed me that if you stick your finger in the middle, it wraps its little tentacles around your finger – it made me giggle with excitement every time,” she told travel website escape.com.
While Juliet loved living in Australia, she frequently visited South Africa, and moved there at 17. “The most special place of all is Cape Town, where I lived for six years. Its epic beauty is hard to beat, with the endless mountain ranges for hiking, beaches for swimming, wine regions for fun and the rich culture that keeps you inspired,” she said.

While living in Cape Town, Juliet turned towards acting and appeared in a few different TV ads.
When she returned to Australia, she attended the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts in 2019.
Her big break came three years later when she landed the role of Dr Bree in Home and Away.
Juliet has been in a relationship with her boyfriend Sam Masters for almost four years. The pair met at a party, with Juliet telling Adelaide Now that he “couldn’t resist my awesome 70s dance moves. I showed him how good I was at the sprinkler and the rest is history.”
Sam regularly features on her Instagram account, wit the pair going on cute dates and attending weddings together.
