He blames himself for Mia’s tragedy.
Home and Away‘s Nikau Parata struggles with self-loathing on UK screens next week after being discharged from the hospital.
Following a squabble with his family, Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) was recently engaged in a major car accident when Mia Anderson and Dean Thompson teamed together to bring him back to the Bay.
Christian Green affirms that Nikau is well enough to return home in next week’s shows on Channel 5, but he also expresses concern over Nikau’s distant behavior.
Everyone is hoping that Nikau’s situation would improve once he returns to the Parata residence.
Sadly, the situation only gets worse for Nikau as he struggles to be around Mia (Anna Samson).
Nikau holds himself responsible for Mia’s miscarriage following the accident. He points out that if he hadn’t been acting so wildly, she would never have been in danger.
Mia makes it clear that she does not hold Nikau responsible and that horrible things do happen. Nikau has a hard time accepting this and sobs in her arms.
Later, Nikau appears to be on a downward spiral when he pays a visit to his ex-girlfriend Bella Nixon (Courtney Miller) and breaks her heart all over again.
Nikau refuses to be with Bella, despite Bella’s willingness to forgive him for cheating on her with Sienna Blake. He states that he no longer loves her and urges her to refrain from contacting him.
Bella is crushed by Nikau’s harsh words and refuses to realize that their relationship is ended.
When Nikau’s uncle Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) sees them arguing, he tries to intercede, but Nikau stands firm and orders him to leave his life alone.
Bella believes that it’s time to move on from Nikau after obtaining some counsel from Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) regarding the matter.
Bella chats to Nikau one last time, promising to leave him alone. However, she also warns that he has messed up the best thing he ever had.
Nikau is left rattled by Bella’s words, but will he realise that he has made a big mistake?
