The talented actress has taken Hollywood by storm becoming one of most popular modern scream queens, but she had her first break in the popular soap Home and Away
Samara Weaving might be a roaring success in Hollywood, but she first captured hearts in Home and Away.
She starred in the soap for four years as the popular Indi Walker.
Surprisingly, she wasn’t the only member of her family to appear in Summer Bay
Samara is thirty-one years old, having been born on February 23, 1992.
How old is Samara and where is she from?
Although she was born in Adelaide, South Australia, she spent her early years living abroad in Singapore, Fiji, and Indonesia. In 2005, her family relocated to Canberra.
Her father is the creative director of the Canberra International Film Festival in addition to being a filmmaker and lecturer at the University of Newcastle in Newcastle, New South Wales.
Her mother teaches museum studies at the University of Newcastle and practices art therapy.
Samara is from a well-known family; her sister Morgan is an actress as well. As Lottie Ryan, Harvey’s daughter and Roo Stewart’s stepdaughter, she appears in 28 episodes of Home and Away in 2012.
Samara’s uncle is also very famous. Hugo Weaving played Agent Smith in the first three The Matrix films, Elrond in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, Red Skull in Captain America: The First Avenger and the title character in V for Vendetta.
When did Samara start acting?
Samara’s first significant acting job was in the Australian-UK soap opera Out of the Blue (2008) as Kirsten Mulroney.
She was chosen to play Indigo “Indi” Walker in Home and Away the next year. She made a brief debut in 2010 and made a comeback with the character’s whole family.
Indi was a significant character who centered her attention on her turbulent romance with Romeo Smith and eventual marriage to him.
She was confirmed to be departing the soap opera in 2013.
Samara went on to get a few Hollywood roles. She portrayed Brianne in the 2016 movie Monster Trucks, played Heather in a recurring role in the first season of Ash vs. Evil Dead, and starred in the 2017 action comedy-thriller Mayhem.
She also appeared in the music video for Charlie Puth’s song “Attention” in the movie Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.
In 2019, she became the scream queen after starring in the popular comedy-horror movie Ready or Not.
In addition, the actress starred with Nicole Kidman and Melissa McCarthy in Nine Perfect Strangers.
She’s getting a lot of parts soon. She will play former Playboy Bunny Holly Madison in a limited television series based on her memoir, and American socialite Elizabeth Patterson Bonaparte in Adam Leon’s biopic Liz.
Is Samara married?
Samara first met her husband Jimmy Warden while they both worked on the set of The Babysitter. She was cast in the lead role, while he worked as a producer.
They confirmed their romance in 2016 when Jimmy posted a photo of them together on social media.
The couple got engaged in early 2019, with Samara sharing a snap of her wearing an engagement ring. They tied the knot later that year.
They didn’t speak about their marriage for a while, but fans suspected when Jimmy posted about it online.
He said: “It’s been two years since I married my favorite actor in the world, Steve Zahn. Happy anniversary, Steve. I love you,”
Many people understood Steve Zahn to be a reference to Samara.
Speaking about their nuptials, Samara told the Herald Sun: “I think we just flew under the radar”.
