Tane Parata from Home and Away rejects Felicity Newman in the UK next week as she realizes they could be more than friends.
Tane (Ethan Browne) had a fleeting relationship with Felicity late last year, but following their combined kidnapping ordeal with villainous Anne Sherman, their bond grows stronger.
Tane and Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) struggle to get back to normal after being rescued by their respective siblings Ari and Cash in next week’s episodes on Channel 5.
As they spend more time together, they are shocked at how at ease they feel around each other.
When Tane is about to leave Felicity’s caravan, she asks him to stay, but she says it’s only because she doesn’t want to be alone.
When Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) sees Tane exiting Felicity’s van later, he isn’t pleased. He attempts to persuade them that starting a relationship is not a good idea.
Tane is intrigued by Cash’s warnings and suspects there’s more to it. Tane ignores Cash’s counsel and returns to meet Felicity, who is definitely holding back over something.
Tane assures Felicity that he will be there for her whenever she needs him, so she goes one step further and kisses him.
This is a mistake because it isn’t what Tane wanted. Tane politely declines Felicity, but she is humiliated by his decision and flees.
Tane pursues Felicity, promising to be there for her as a friend while they try to make sense of what occurred with Anne.
Tane thinks it’s best not to complicate things any further at the moment.
The ex-lovers agree to forget about the kiss, but is it only a matter of time before their relationship returns to its romantic roots?
