Tane Parata from Home and Away is set to get into some difficulty in the near future, as his love interest Felicity Newman tries to press him for answers about what has been bothering him, unaware that he is concealing a significant fatal secret.
Ari Parata (Rob Kipa-Williams), Tane’s younger brother, is making a huge sacrifice for his fiancée Mia Anderson (Anna Samson) and her daughter Chloe Anderson (Sam Barrett). He’s decided to confess to the death of Chloe’s abusive father, Matthew Montgomery (James Sweeny) – who was actually killed by Chloe while she was trying to protect Mia from him.
When Mia’s frantic attempt to depart Summer Bay with Matthew’s body in the boot of her vehicle failed, Ari opted to take the fall for the two, and he’s now serving a life sentence for a crime he didn’t commit.
According to TV Week, Tane (Ethan Browne) will be battling to keep the Parata family together following Ari’s shocking confession in future scenes airing soon in Australia.
Nikau Parata (Kawakawa Fox-Reo), the couple’s nephew, is heartbroken at the prospect of losing another family member, and he takes his rage out on Chloe.
Tane, on the other hand, feels as if he has no one to whom he can turn and openly discuss his feelings.
He asks Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) to give him some space, as he struggles to hide his anxieties from her. Felicity, however, is offended by his request and seeks assistance from Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman), desperate to figure out why Tane is suddenly shutting her out.
In need of a distraction, Felicity heads to Salt and finds Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) struggling to find new staff to help out. When Mac offers Felicity a job on the spot, starting immediately, she gets straight to work, feeling surprised but positive about her new venture.
However, when Tane walks in to pick up some pizza, the couple’s chemistry is undeniable. Later that night, Felicity shows up at Tane’s van and the pair can’t keep their feelings hidden any longer, deciding to spend the night together.
“Tane and Flick’s relationship is very strong,” Jacqui, who plays Felicity, told TV Week. “To be honest, they can’t keep their hands off each other!”
Felicity pursues Tane for additional information about what’s actually going on with him after they wake up together the next morning, believing that there must be more to the story than he’s telling her.
Will Tane feel comfortable confiding in Felicity, or will he continue to push her away in order to protect her from the terrible family truth he’s keeping hidden?
