Home and Away‘s Theo Poulos confides in his ex-girlfriend Kirby Aramoana next week after reaching breaking point over Valerie Beaumont.
Theo realises that he needs some support as Valerie’s problems are getting too big to handle on his own.
In next week’s episodes on Channel 5, Theo observes that Valerie is growing increasingly reliant on drugs to get through the day.
Theo also worries that Valerie is becoming too secretive around Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan, who have kindly welcomed her into their home.
Wanting to be honest with his girlfriend, Theo tells Valerie that he didn’t take the last pill that she gave him. He explains that he’s having second thoughts over their ongoing drug use.
This revelation doesn’t go down well with Valerie, who bitterly accuses him of lying to her and killing the vibe between them.
Needing some guidance, Theo meets up with Kirby and confesses that he’s now out of his depth with Valerie. Kirby has been aware of Theo and Valerie’s drug use for a while, but was unaware of how serious it was getting.
Theo is relieved over Kirby’s compassionate response as she suggests that Valerie needs professional help.
Things turn sour when Valerie witnesses Theo and Kirby’s cosy heart-to-heart at the Diner. She storms off, fearing that her boyfriend is betraying her with his ex.
Theo chases after Valerie and admits that he told Kirby about her drug use and her traumatic past, including how she was badly affected by the death of her brother.
Valerie considers packing her bags and leaving the Bay now that her secrets are under threat, but Theo urges her to stick around and start trusting him.
Valerie interprets this challenge the wrong way as she takes out two more pills – making it clear that one is for her and one is for Theo.
Theo is uneasy as Valerie insists they’re in this together, but he reluctantly takes the pill to appease her. How far will Theo go down a self-destructive path just to keep Valerie close?
Home and Away airs these scenes on Monday, May 13 and Tuesday, May 14 on Channel 5.
