It seems another Coronation Street character will be leaving the ITV soap very soon amid a death theory.
With it confirmed characters including Gail Platt and Joel Deering are leaving the show, after a number of other exits earlier this year, there’s a further departure on the way. Months after it was reported that Stu Carpenter actor Bill Fellows had quit the show after three years, new spoilers have finally confirmed this to be the case.
Bill, who plays Stu, had announced his departure weeks ago, but the show had provided no hints about an exit. Now, teasers indicate that his exit is imminent and likely to occur this month.
In a new spoiler, Stu finds himself angry with his partner Yasmeen Nazir as he attempts to assist troubled teen Mason Radcliffe. With Mason’s abusive brothers causing trouble for them, it appears that a breakup could be on the horizon for the couple.
After Mason finds a new place to live following the recent drama, Stu expresses his frustration about the situation. He then reveals to Yasmeen that he’s considering moving to Germany to be closer to his granddaughter, Eliza.
Eliza had previously left Weatherfield to live with her father, Dom, abroad, and now Stu is eager to join them. But will this be how Stu exits the show, and how will Yasmeen respond to this news?
Taking to Instagram recently, actor Bill, 67, shared a picture of the sweet leaving gift from his co-stars as he confirmed his exit. Bill revealed he had received a portrait of himself signed with sweet messages from the cast.
Captioning the post, the actor penned: “Nice parting give with a top quality bottle of Champagne x”. Bill’s co-stars were quick to bid an emotional farewell as they commented on the post.
Elle Mulvaney, who portrays Amy Barlow, expressed her sadness by writing, “Going to miss you at work!!” along with crying emojis. Mollie Gallagher, who plays Nina Lucas, chimed in with, “Gonna miss you,” accompanied by upset emojis, while Cait Fitton, who plays Lauren Bolton, added, “We will miss you,” with heart emojis.
Meanwhile, fans are speculating that a heartbreaking death may be on the horizon. Recently, viewers witnessed Mason confiding in Stu about his difficult home life and his abusive brothers.
When Stu found him in the restaurant before opening time, he wondered what was going on leading to Mason explaining his home situation. Mason told him that he’d spent the night there to avoid another beating from his violent older brothers.
With violent Logan making his debut and trying to drag Mason into his life of crime, Stu could face danger when he intervenes. But could the drama cost him his life given he is leaving the ITV soap?
