Fans of Coronation Street believe they have uncovered a nasty twist about Kit Green, and it may not be good news for a certain cobbler.
Coronation Street viewers think they’ve uncovered a dark twist involving Kit Green.
Fans of the soap opera will remember Kit’s entrance earlier this year as the long-lost son of Bernie Winter. Only weeks after their decades-long separation, Bernie discovered the hard way that her long-lost son had set her up. When Kit was younger, his real mother tried to turn her other two children, Gemma Winter and Paul Foreman, against her. Kit couldn’t forgive her for leaving him and not getting in touch.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, police officer Kit planted a then missing Lauren Bolton’s DNA to frame Nathan Curtis, who was arrested, with real culprit Joel Deering then still at large. While in recent scenes, Kit got into secret cahoots with criminal Sid and his dodgy counterfeit T-shirt business, warning he wont say a word as long as he gets half the cut of profits.
However, Beth Tinker, whose son Craig works with Kit in the police, recently caught out Kit, spotting him working with Sid who was selling counterfeit T-shirts that Beth had designed. Beth accused Kit of being a bent copper, claiming to have rumbled he wasn’t the good guy he’d claimed to be. With Kit’s career possibly at risk, it seems in upcoming episodes he will blackmail Beth and threaten her to leave the cobbles for good.
However, viewers think there could be something more sinister especially as Beth actress Lisa George has reportedly quit the soap after 13 years and even filmed her final scenes. Taking to Twitter, now X, one person said: “Beth really needs to be careful when dealing with Kit as Beth is on her way out of the cobbles soon #Corrie #CoronationStreet”, another fan feared: “#Corrie kit digging a hole for Beth’s body…” another wrote: “#Corrie Beth blackmailing Kit which could end badly…” while a different account added: “Clueless Beth is out of her depth with Kit. #Corrie.”
It has been reported that Beth actress Lisa has quit the soap and even filmed her final scenes after 13 years. Last month, amid the reports, the actress had a night out with her co-stars, sparking more rumours she could be leaving the cobbles. However, earlier this year, actress Lisa, who has been on the hit ITV soap since 2011, downplayed exit rumours to The Mirror. It remains to be seen if Lisa’s character Beth will leave the cobbles…
