On Sunday night, Johnny Ruffo returned to his old stomping grounds of Dancing with the Stars.
After a surprise performance during the grand finale, the former participant, who won the competition in 2012, received a standing ovation.
‘I’m incredibly thrilled to be back performing,’ the 34-year-old stated before his dancing act. All I want to do now is dance.
With an energetic routine set to Domino’s song Business of Love, he scorched the dance floor.
After his dance, Johnny commented, “I forgot how hard it was, but I also remember how much fun it was.”
‘It was difficult to get through, but we managed to do so.’ ‘Thank you for inviting me back,’ he said.
On November 24, the X Factor judge disclosed that he was once again battling brain cancer.
‘It is with a sad heart that I have to let you know that after an unexpected week of seizures and painful headaches, I now have another enormous struggle ahead of me as my brain cancer has returned,’ he posted on Instagram.
The former Home and Away star was photographed wearing a mask made of plastic mesh to keep his head still during radiation therapy, according to an Instagram post.
Johnny was diagnosed with the condition for the first time in 2017 after visiting the hospital with severe migraines.
He had a 7cm brain tumor surgically removed in August of that year, followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
The musician and his professional dance partner Luda Kroitor won Season 12 of Dancing with the Stars in 2012.
