Summer Bay will be filled with love this week as Leah and Justin walk down the aisle for Home and Away’s wedding of the year.
It will be Leah’s (Ada Nicodemou) third time getting married, and she told Perth Now that, unlike her previous marriages, this one won’t be drama filled.
“It’s definitely unusual,” she said. “In that usually there’s always some sort of cliffhanger, where someone dies — but none of that happens!
“It’s actually just really lovely, and all about their love.”
While Leah and Justin’s relationship has been a rollercoaster of ups and downs over the past five years, their wedding is set to be everything a bride dreams of.
Ada told the publication that she asked writers to give viewers a happy ending for the popular couple.
“When they [the writers] were suggesting that Leah and Justin get married, I did ask for that,” she admits.
“I said, ‘Oh please, can it just be nice? She has been through so much!’
“And also, I think the audience just really want to see a happy ending … we all thought it would be really nice to just see a couple who love each other, and celebrate that — and have a pretty wedding.”
When is it on?
Leah and Justin’s wedding will air on April 9th, from 7pm on Channel 7 and 7Play.
Where is Leah and Justin’s wedding?
The wedding was filmed a few months ago, and took place at a winery in Sydney’s Hunter Valley.
“The location was at this amazing vineyard, and they do a lot of weddings — and every shot was just so beautiful,” Ada said.
Who will be there?
The standard Summer Bay crew will be there, along with some surprising additions.
John (Shane Withington) has been enlisted as the celebrate to officiate the wedding, and the event will also see the return of some familiar faces including Justin’s sister Tori (Penny McNamee), his daughter Ava (Annabel Wolfe) and Leah’s son VJ (Matt Little).
Watch Leah and Justin’s wedding on Home and Away on April 9th at 7.30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
