Fans went wild over a recent snap from the Home and Away set – but who could be walking down the aisle?
Home and Away fans were horrified when Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright) broke off his engagement with Eden Fowler (Stephanie Panozzo) after his sister Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis) died. His reasoning wasn’t exactly logical, with the cop trying to protect Eden because ‘everyone he loves dies’.
Of course, fans were furious with Cash, but some have been left wondering: will the couple find their way back each other? Many are holding out hope for another Summer Bay wedding – though in this small town, a wedding usually spells disaster, death or both.
One viewer asked for any clues the pair could be rekindling their romance in a Facebook fan group. “Does anyone know if Cash and Eden will eventually get back together? Has anyone seen any filming or know anyone who knows? It’s a shame after everything they’ve been through to just throw away their relationship,” they wrote.
An insider who has seen leaked footage from set revealed while there’s no concrete proof Eden and Cash rekindle their romance just yet, it looks like there will be another Summer Bay wedding.
“I haven’t seen anything other than footage of Cash running several times (maybe he’s going to take up marathons). No footage of [the couple] at location filming since May,” they wrote.
“I did hear that the Southern Highlands location shoot which will probably air at the end of the year may be a low-key wedding. In saying that, while the location shoot [happened], the purpose [for the location shoot] is [unknown]. If it was a low-key wedding, [it] could be one of several couples [like] Tane wanting to legitimise [his] child [with Harper].”
They went on to say that producers “aren’t silly” and are careful to keep upcoming storylines under wraps.
The Southern Highlands location shoot the insider is talking about could be related to the leaked location snap shared by Greg Stone, head of the Summer Bay Art Department, back in July.
He shared a photo of a blurred-out script at what could be an estate in the Southern Highlands.
The fountain in his snap seems to match one at Milton Park in Bowral, however it’s hard to confirm if they are identical.
Could Gary’s return hint at a Cash and Eden wedding?
Cash and Felicity’s foster dad Gary Morrow (Peter Phelps) recently made a return to Summer Bay for Flick’s funeral, but a leaked snap shows he’s making another appearance on the soap in 2025.
Considering he came back to town for Felicity’s wedding to Tane Parata (Ethan Browne) in 2022, this could be a massive spoiler hinting that he returns for Cash’s wedding.
Fans went wild over the spoiler, with one writing: “I’m assuming this is Gary coming back for the wedding.”
“I hope this means Cash’s wedding will go ahead,” a third remarked.
“Thanks for the info, I hope Cash and Eden find their way back [to] each other,” another chimed in.
This storyline will be seen in approximately five to six months, so we’ll have to sit tight to see what happens next.
