Lisa Wilkinson’s Logies speech, which is now the subject of a legal dispute, has overshadowed Nine’s broadcast of the 62nd Logies Awards. However, Moloney may have reclaimed the attention after taking to the airways to express his feelings about TV’s night of nights.
The actor debuted on the Awards show and appeared on the Hughesy, Ed, and Erin Breakfast radio show on 2Day FM. Toadie was indeed unhappy.
He was quoted as saying by News.com.au: “We (the actors of “Neighbours”) showed up and engaged in our required three-hour red carpet chatter. It was awful that we were separated upon entering the room and forced to sit at two different tables.
“Our table was actually even stuck behind the cameras, we couldn’t even see the stage. So we figured we weren’t going to get a gig then.”
Moloney’s unhappiness didn’t end there he also took umbrage with former Neighbours stars Daniel MacPherson and Natalie Bassingthwaighte being chosen to represent the current cast on stage.

“Daniel and Nat are just absolutely wonderful people, and I have nothing against them at all, but we have people who have been on TV for about 30 years combined, so I think the least they could do is get us to say something,” he remarked. That’s not how you handle a show that is in the Hall of Fame, after all, we’re in the damned Hall of Fame. I genuinely do mean good luck to the Logies.
“If the In Memoriam section is any indication. I mean, half of those individuals had experience from Neighbours. They received a superior guernsey as opposed to us, he remarked.
The cast of Seven’s Home And Away really approached the cast of Neighbours at The Logies to express their sympathy, according to Moloney, who has been on the programme since the early 1990s.
The cast of Home and Away approached him later and expressed their regret that they had passed us over, he claimed.
Sincerely, it always amazes me when a celebrity speaks their mind, and Moloney did not hold back! I suppose you can always rely on Toadie to speak truth to power.
