Mick comes to Erinsborough as part of Montana Marcel’s Fashion Week next week on Neighbours in the UK – what trouble awaits this time?
These scenes will premiere in the United Kingdom on Monday, March 21st, and in Australia on Thursday, April 7th.
Mick Allsop (Joel Creasy) is about to make things difficult for a couple of our Neighbours favorites when he returns to Erinsborough next week, having secured yet another new job.
Mick made his debut appearance in 2018, as someone Aaron (Matt Wilson) and his ex-boyfriend Rory Zemiro (Ash Williams) knew during their time in the male stripper duo Rough Trade. Rory had convinced Aaron that Mick was obsessed with him, whereas in truth, Mick and Rory were having an affair.
He first returned in October last year, landing the job of Front Desk Manager at Lassiter’s after Harlow (Jemma Robinson) sneakily moved him into Chloe’s (April Rose Pengilly) “yes” pile as a way to undermine her manager while the two were in the middle of a bitter feud.
When Harlow was forced to work with Mick on a regular basis, the tactic backfired, and Chloe and Harlow eventually teamed up to kick him out of the hotel.
Roxy (Zima Anderson), who was completely unconcerned with the turmoil, hired Mick as her wedding coordinator a few months later.
While Mick appeared to be doing a fine job and saying all the right things to keep Roxy and Kyle (Chris Milligan) happy, he was concurrently annoying half of their wedding guests with his ridiculous demands.
The misunderstandings were thankfully resolved, and the wedding went down without a hitch. Of course, the reception was tarnished by disaster, but that was beyond Mick’s control. However, it’s safe to say that no one was disappointed to see Mick leave.
He’ll be back next week, and he’ll cause even more issues for the Lassiters management team!
The Lassiters management has been determined to host the event in Erinsborough since renowned fashionista Montana Marcel (Tammin Sursok) announced she will be staging her famed Fashion Week in Melbourne.
They’ve spent the last few weeks putting together a detailed plan, selecting which of the hotel’s various spaces will host which event, and collaborating with Leo (Tim Kano) to use the vineyard as an extra location.
They simply need to persuade Montana and her staff that Lassiters is the ideal location for the glamorous celebration.
Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) has a last-minute meeting with Montana’s assistant the next week, and she and Chloe are ready to schmooze him.
However, when they arrive at the Lassiters rooftop pool for their appointment, they are astounded to see her assistant with none other than Mick Allsop!
He’s pleased as he informs the girls that he’s Montana’s assistant, and smugly warns them that if they want to win Fashion Week, they’ll have to stay on his good side!
And, given their past, it’s safe to assume he won’t be kind with them.
As the week progresses, Terese and Chloe increase their charm in order to keep Mick on board.
He gives them advice on how to impress his employer, and they take it all in stride because they’re desperate to get the Fashion Week event.
Unfortunately, his advice isn’t reliable, and their pitch becomes the kind of tacky, garish nightmare that only Mick Allsop could concoct.
As Montana Marcel looks on, they try to save the pitch, but it appears that their efforts to organize the event may be finished before they’ve even begun.
Terese panics when the pitch fails; she needs to find a method to save the situation as soon as possible.
She enlists Leo’s help to schmooze Montana Marcel on behalf of the hotel, knowing that he can be a smooth talker. He’s more than eager to help, and he pays a visit to the billionaire fashion mogul’s mansion in the hopes of winning her over.
Over a few glasses of wine, the two converse, and it appears that Montana has taken a shine to him.
Suddenly, Montana makes a proposal to Leo that he was not anticipating!
Is she romantically interested in him, and if so, can he use this to his advantage and persuade her to give Lassiters another chance?
Tammin Sursok played Dani Sutherland on Home and Away from 2000 to 2004, and he just joined the cast of Neighbours for a six-week guest appearance.
Announcing the news of her role on her Instagram Stories in January, Tammin (@tamminsursok) posted a picture of her Neighbours scripts, with the caption “Squeezed in a little gig before my next tv show which is the polar opposite of this. Should be a fun few weeks!”
Tammin has become well-known for her roles as Colleen Carlton on The Young and the Restless and Jenna Marshall on Pretty Little Liars after leaving Home and Away.
