Stefan Dennis is best known for his role as Paul Robinson in the hit Australian soap opera Neighbours.
He is the sole individual featured in the inaugural episode and is still in the show today, having taken over the role in March 1985.
Away from the set of Neighbours, Stefan is married to his co-star, with whom he has three children.
How old is Stefan and where is he from?
Stefan is 63 years old, having been born on October 29, 1958. He is originally from Tawonga, Victoria, but spent the last 12 years of his life in Queensland, where he largely attended school.
He began performing and singing at the age of seven, and he went on to star in local theater.
Stefan, on the other hand, wanted a backup plan in case acting didn’t work out, so he dropped out of school at the age of 15 to work as an apprentice chef.
When did Stefan first appear in Neighbours?
Stefan originally appeared in the first episode of the show in March 1965, and he remained to play the cold-hearted businessman until 1993.
After a few years away from the soap, he made a permanent return in 2004.
People mistake Stefan for his character, Paul, in real life, and prefer to “shrink away” from him, according to Stefan.
However, he claims that the fact that they believe so strongly in his representation of the character is a credit to his acting ability.
Who is Stefan’s wife?
Stefan is married to Gail Easdale, his Neigbours co-star. They met while acting in panto together in Southampton, with Gail initially hailing from Milngavie, near Glasgow.
They married in 2000 and have three children together: 19-year-old Cameron, 15-year-old Declan, and 12-year-old Darci.
Gail first portrayed Julie Quill in 2016, and the character became the arch-enemy of her real-life husband’s character Paul.
She left the soap that same year before making a brief reappearance in 2021.
Stefan has stated that he did not assist Gail in obtaining the post and that he was unaware of her hiring until the last minute.
