Star roasts Melissa George for refusing to discuss the show that made her famous

The Entourage actor had a few words of advice for the former Home and Away star.

Actress Melissa George has been ridiculed by Entourage star Jeremy Piven for refusing to respond to questions during an interview regarding her time on Home and Away.

As Piven learned during a radio broadcast on Thursday, George, 47, gained notoriety from the enduring Seven dramas but dislikes being reminded of them. He currently resides in France.

Piven was chatting on 2Day FM’s Hughesy, Ed & Erin breakfast show when he was asked about his role as Ari Gold on Entourage, which ran from 2004 to 2011.

“Some people play these iconic roles early in their career and then they hate talking about them,” co-host Erin Molan told Piven.

“Like, Melissa George is an example.

“She is an Australian actress who was in Home and Away for years, but refuses to talk about it.

“You clearly don’t have that attitude.

“You still love the character and you are happy to talk to fans about Ari, right?”

Piven then had a word or two of advice for Melissa George, who has since gone on to star in shows such as Alias, Grey’s Anatomy and The Mosquito Coast.

“Well, Melissa George needs to calm down,” he said.

“I need to go to her home and I need to do a little TED talk to her about gratitude.”

In 2012, George reportedly threatened to walk off the set of The Morning Show if her time playing Angel Parrish on Home and Away was brought up.

She was visibly angry when clips from her time on the show were aired during her segment with Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.

“She kept saying she’d had so many bigger roles since Home and Away that it was offensive to talk about it,” a source told The Daily Telegraph at the time.

Later that year, George gave an interview to the Sydney Morning Herald in which she said she wouldn’t conduct interviews in Australia for the foreseeable future.

“I don’t need credibility from my country any more, I just need them all to be quiet,” she said.

“If they have nothing intelligent to say, please don’t speak to me any more.

“I’d rather be having a croissant and a little espresso in Paris or walking my French bulldog in New York City.”

George appeared on Home and Away from 1993 to 1996 before moving to the US to pursue an acting career there.

Her acting credits include Derailed (2005), Mulholland Drive (2001), and Dark City (1998).

She just welcomed a boy into her family, her third kid, whose father’s identity is unknown to the world.

The actress, who was born in Perth, is married to French entrepreneur Jean David Blanc, with whom she had two further kids, Raphael and Solal.

Acrimoniously, the relationship terminated with George accusing Blanc of domestic abuse against her.

She attempted to leave France for a work assignment with her two sons, but French officials stopped her since Blanc claimed she was attempting to abduct their children.

Due to a custody arrangement, Raphael and Solal cannot leave France with their mother without Blanc’s consent, meaning the Australian star remains permanently based in Paris.

George revealed she was pregnant again in January, posting a picture of herself sitting in her apartment wearing a jumper that showed off her baby bump.

Announcing her third son’s birth on Wednesday, she wrote: “Welcome to the world my little man. Love knows no end.”

“A mother of 3 sons. Cannot believe it,” she added.

“My heart is so full.”
