If you’re up to date with Home and Away, you’re probably across the fact a main character looks likely to be dramatically killed off in the coming weeks and fans have been busy speculating which fan favourite will meet their grisly end.
It’s been a while since the popular soap killed off a long-running main character: back in the ’00s it felt like every other week there was a dramatic death. Personally, I’m still not over Noah being shot by one of the Summer Bay stalkers, and don’t even bloody get me started on Belle and Aden finally getting married, only for her to die. What the f***.
No wonder I have trust issues.
In more recent years, the untimely deaths of Casey Braxton, Mason Morgan, and Ari Parata have haunted us all, but there have been more side characters killed off vs. mains.

Home and Away fan’s convincing theory on how main character will die
For weeks, fans have been speculating about how Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis) will leave the show, will many assuming she’ll be killed off, particularly after her River Boy boyfriend Rory was jailed.
Now that we know Felicity isn’t leaving the Bay with Rory, one Home and Away fan who put on their detective hat, has a compelling theory as to what will happen next.
“OK now I’ve read more into it about what happens next week… Looks, like my theory from yesterday that the River Boys come back for revenge for Cash for putting Rory and Dingo in jail,” they posted in a fan Facebook group.
“They meant to shoot at Cash and kill him but instead they miss and shoot Felicity instead. This all happens at Eden’s and Cash’s engagement party next Monday (12th of August) leading into Tuesday!”
While it’s not confirmed, many people agree the theory seems pretty legit.
“Oh man, twist,” one person commented. “Sounds good to me,” another said before clarifying, “Not that Felicity gets shot, but good storyline.”
“How awful for Cash and Eden. Poor Felicity if this does happen,” another fan commented. “Poor Cash and Eden celebrating their engagement party only to lose his sister this will be a tissue moment,” another person sadly said, pointing out that it could also happen at the beach where Stevie, Cash’s former employer, was shot.
“Then Cash will go off the rails,” another fan predicted.
Fans devastated to see Jacqui Purvis depart
Since the news broke that Jacqui’s final scenes were likely to air in August, fans have been devastated to know that her time on our screens will be over soon.
“Best actor on the show by far, sad she leaves,” one fan said. “I love Flick and will miss her character,” another commented.
“I know Jacqui wanted the story to kill her off but I wish she wouldn’t. It would have been nice to have had her happy ending,” another fan said.
A happy ending? In Summer Bay? Unlikely!
