Tim Robards quit the show in 2020, and his character was recast.
Tim Robards will return to Neighbours as rich businessman Pierce Greyson for a fresh plot next month, two years after leaving Ramsey Street.
Between his arrival in 2018 and his departure in 2020, Robards starred in over 300 episodes of the soap, and his role was later succeeded by another actor, Don Hany.
But now, before the series shuts for forever in June, he’ll be back for one last time, and he’s hailed it as “an enormous honour” to return to the character.
“COVID state border restrictions resulted in my sudden departure and replacement back in 2020 for what should have been my last month of filming,” he explained.
“I’m beyond excited and grateful to get back and see the whole team whom I never got to say goodbye to. Now knowing the show is coming to an end, it’s such a privilege to be a part of it one last time.”
At this time, no specifics about the character’s comeback have been announced, except that he’ll be reunited with Chloe Brennan (April Rose Pengilly), with whom he was married during his last run on the show.
