The former EastEnders and Benidorm star took to social media to announce he has become a first-time dad after keeping news of his girlfriend Maddi’s pregnancy a secret
EastEnders actor Danny Walters has become a dad for the first time.
The former soap star, 31, took to social media to announce he and his long-term girlfriend Maddi have welcomed a beautiful baby girl.
Danny shared an adorable picture of his newborn daughter’s hand, as well as her unique name.
He wrote: “One month with you, Autumn. Born March ’25”.
It wasn’t long before he was flooded with well wishes from his former EastEnders colleagues.
Diane Parish, who plays Denise Fox, wrote: “Ah wow! Congrats to you all Danny.”
Emma Barton, known for playing Honey Mitchell, gushed: “Congrats darling… [heart emojis] (sic)”.
While Clair Norris, who portrayed Danny’s on-screen sister Bernie Taylor, commented a series of loveheart emojis.
Danny left EastEnders on Christmas Day in 2023 when his character, Keanu Taylor, was killed by Linda Carter as she attempted to protect her best friend Sharon Watts from him.
His departure was kept secret right until Keanu’s murder, and Danny admitted at the time it was “extremely difficult” to keep the news under wraps.
He said: “I feel like I’ve been very deceitful to my friends and my family and have made many excuses!
“But, I wanted the storyline to have as much impact as possible for the audience, so I’ve tried my best to keep everything a secret and hopefully, that’s paid off.”
“The Christmas Day episode is a great episode.
“It stands alone, and there is so much to it. The writing in the script was fantastic, and every character had such a great storyline throughout the whole episode.”
“For my character, the episode is a real rollercoaster of emotions from the highs and the lows. It was such a pleasure to be part of.”
The fallout from Keanu’s murder went on for months, even though Danny had left the BBC soap as Sharon, Linda, Suki Panesar, Stacey Slater, Kathy Beale and Denise Fox tried to cover up the crime. Eventually, villain Nish Panesar took the blame for it.
Danny, who also starred in ITV’s Benidorm, has been in a relationship with his girlfriend Maddi Faircloth for four years now.
The couple first began dating in 2021 and went public with their romance in January 2022.
Maddi works as a data analyst and artist, but she also appeared on the Channel 4 reality show Shipmates. It saw two teams of friends join 1,500 party animals on a deluxe cruise, heading for fun hot spots around the Med as they compete for a luxury holiday in Bali.
Danny and Maddi made their red carpet debut in March 2022 at a West End premiere to celebrate the new cast of the musical Wicked.
