Fans of the BBC soap have spotted a missing detail about Anthony Trueman’s marriage during the murder trial
EastEnders’ Patrick Trueman is desperate to secure justice following his son Anthony’s Christmas killing, which left him utterly shattered.
The BBC One soap has officially launched the murder trial as Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) attempts to defend taking her own father’s life, Anthony (Nicholas Bailey), while battling for her freedom.
Despite genuinely acting in self-defence, the mobile phone footage she captured at the crime scene failed to definitively establish this. Numerous questions remain about her guilt and whether it was truly essential for Jasmine to end someone’s life.
Making matters even worse for Jasmine, Anthony’s mourning father, Patrick (Rudolph Walker), is struggling to view him negatively and has recorded a video statement that might damage Jasmine’s chances of walking free, reports OK!.

Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) has similarly been championing Anthony and wishes to portray the doctor as blameless. Nevertheless, prior to Anthony’s death, it emerged that he had a restraining order issued against him by his former wife Sophie, preventing him from seeing his children. His alienated family also didn’t attend his funeral.
This disclosure indicated that their split was far from the cordial affair he had portrayed to the family. Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) challenged Anthony about this revelation in the café, and while Anthony attempted to brand Sophie a liar, Howie branded him a threat to women.
EastEnders enthusiasts are now “enraged” as the specifics of Anthony’s separation from his wife remain undisclosed, and he is being supported by his family. One individual queried on Reddit: “Is anyone else ENRAGED about the fact that people, mostly Kim, are ignoring the fact that Anthony was a well-established woman abuser?”
They continued: “He abused his ex and wasn’t allowed to see his own kids and the storyline was just completely abandoned with no further development.

“The one and only reason why it would make sense not to develop this further if it was for it to be referenced in Anthony’s murder but that’s not happening either, it’s just being ignored.”
One EastEnders viewer responded: “I don’t know why Kim is defending Anthony’s memory. She hardly knew him!”
A second joined in: “They could even have Chelsea testify that he lied about the babies being dead.”
“His wife had a whole restraining order against him yet she’s here acting like he was some angel”, highlighted one fan.
“On X, one person said: “I hope Kim rests her mouth now about Anthony even her own family are tired #eastenders.”
