EastEnders viewers are convinced a Walford icon has secretly returned to Albert Square amid a blackmail plot
EastEnders’ Vicki Fowler has been caught cheating on Ross Marshall just before their nuptials.
As avid viewers of the BBC soap will be aware, Vicki (Alice Haig) had a romantic tryst with Zack Hudson (James Farrar) earlier this year. Vicki is Sharon Watts’s (Letitia Dean) adoptive sister, while Zack is Sharon’s biological half-brother, making their affair somewhat taboo.
The duo decided to put their steamy night behind them as Vicki agreed to wed Ross (Alex Walkinshaw), even though she confessed to her future spouse that she had slept with another man, and he forgave her.
On Monday (April 13), Vicki was taken aback when Chelsea (Zaraah Abrahams), Kim (Tameka Empson) and Denise (Diane Parish) threw a ’60s themed hen party at Harry’s Barn.
However, the bride-to-be was still in conflict with Ross over his son Joel (Max Murray), who is due to be released in six months’ time after assaulting her and recording the offence on his mobile phone, reports OK!
Vicki confessed to Zack that she was still uncertain about tying the knot. Vicki explained that she had swept her previous argument with Ross under the rug, but she didn’t want to live with Joel once he’s released from prison.
Ross interrupted their conversation and confronted Vicki, who eventually admitted she was fearful about the future of their relationship.
Vicki refused to cohabit with Joel again and left Ross with a difficult choice, but the couple decided to proceed with their stag and hen parties, with significant decisions still pending.
As Vicki made her way to her party, Walford’s gents hosted an indoor sports day for Ross at The Vic. Amidst the mayhem, Zack enjoyed a quiet pint with Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) at the pub, where he confessed his affair with Vicki, and she urged him to fight for her.
Vicki discussed her relationship with Ross and their current predicament with the ladies, but was advised not to let Joel wreck her marriage, too, so she sent a text to her fiancé, assuring him that they would make things work.
Kim headed to the pub and selected Zack as the stripper for the hen do. When he turned up at Harry’s Barn to strip for Vicki, she was initially hesitant to participate, but the atmosphere quickly intensified.
Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) spotted the pair getting cosy, so she attempted to intervene, triggering the fire alarm. As everyone fled the building, Vicki and Zack managed to sneak off together.
Vicki made it clear to Zack that she loves Ross and plans to marry him, leading to a heated argument – but Zack seduced Vicki once more, and they started kissing passionately.
Ross left the pub and decided to call Vicki, but when he heard her phone ringing and shouted out to her, Vicki panicked and bolted from Zack.
Meanwhile, an unknown individual covertly filmed their steamy encounter and plans to use the footage for blackmail, and EastEnders fans are convinced the guilty party is Sharon Watts.
One person posted on X: “The deluded in me really wants this to be Sharon, but I won’t hold my breath # EastEnders”. Another chimed in: “Sharon’s the only one that could possibly make it interesting”, while a third quipped: “No, because whoever it is blackmails them and Sharon wouldn’t do that.”
“When I first read about someone would see them, I did think it would be funny for it to be Sharon comes back and catches them”, speculated one viewer, while another added: “Whoever it is, they need to get done gloves that fit them.”
