EastEnders’ Zack Hudson could be set for a shock new Walford romance
EastEnders fans are certain they have worked out Zack Hudson’s new relationship – but they are not too happy about it.
Zack (James Farrar) has been a staple on the soap since his debut in 2011. After rocking up as the secret brother of Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean), Zack has gone on to become a firm favourite.
He’s also played a part in several big storylines too. From his many romances to his heartbreaking HIV diagnosis, his time in Walford has not been short of drama.
Especially in the past twelve months, as last year Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) left Walford with their baby daughter, after she found out Zack had slept with her best pal Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa).
Despite splitting up, the pair ended things on amicable terms, with Whitney promising Zack that he would always be a part of their child’s life.
As well as Whitney’s exit, Zack’s life was turned upside down when he discovered he was the real father of Barney Mitchell (Lewis Bridgeman), whom he shares with Nicola (Laura Doddington). Zack and Nicola had a previous fling years ago.
Then, in February, Zack was devastated when his friend Martin Fowler (James Bye) died in the Queen Vic explosion during the soap’s 40th anniversary special.
But now, amid his dramatic few months, fans are predicting a new romance for Zack. However, it seems some viewers are not too happy about it.
In Wednesday’s episode (May 7), Zack headed out for a drink at Harry’s Barn. And while everyone else was having a good time, a disheartened Zack confided in Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) about missing Whitney as well as his child, while also talking about Martin.
However, fans couldn’t help but pick up on the spark between Zack and Chelsea. On an EastEnders Facebook fan page, one person penned: “Chelsea and Zack? Hmmmm.”
Someone else chimed in: “If they put them together I swear! I don’t want them together.”
A third also declared: “It looks like it! Nobody asked for this ngl.” Echoing their thoughts, another viewer said: “Yeah they def had a moment.”
