When it comes to helping people get back on their feet, celebrity physiotherapist Jorge Zurita knows what he’s talking about.

The 27-year-old masseur from Sydney has told how he came to massaging the likes of Rita Ora, Dacre Montgomery from Stranger Things, and Sam Frost from Home and Away.

‘A lot of people come in by word of mouth, people seeing my viral TikToks and people who visit ACERO,’ he told Daily Mail Australia.

‘We have never advertised, we have never done anything like that,’ Jorge continued.

Jorge, who was born in Mexico, has a whopping 146,000 followers and two million likes on Instagram because to his funny personality and sloppy dance abilities.

The top three things Jorge warns all of his clients about are: not normalising pain, not stopping their gym routine while injured, and not skipping the warm-up and cool-down phases of a workout.

‘If your shoulder is hurting a little bit, or your knee is feeling funny, go and get it checked by a health practitioner,’ he explained.

‘The sooner you get it checked the faster you will get rid of it.

‘A big mistake is thinking that is not that bad, and you don’t want to wait until it has become a serious chronic injury.’

‘I’ve come across with a lot of people that stop their physical activities when they are injured and it can be the worst thing you can do.

‘First of all go and get checked with your doctor or physiotherapist.’

‘Your physio will guide you with your recovery process and will provide you with accurate information of what you can do and what you can’t do.’

‘There will always be a way for you to continue with your physical activities without having to stop all of them,’ says the author. ‘Keep in mind that movement is life.’
