EastEnders spoilers reveal Denise Fox faces a health battle while George Knight makes a dramatic return to Walford next week
There’s loads of drama on the horizon in EastEnders.
Spoilers have disclosed that Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) and George Knight (Colin Salmon) arrive back from hospital to an unexpected welcome home celebration for baby Ivy in forthcoming episodes of the BBC One soap.
A flustered Nicola demands everyone to clear out but she and Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) subsequently have an intimate conversation.
Nicola feels touched observing George in his fatherly role but the duo are quickly at odds when Nicola uncovers that George has kept his phone turned off and missed calls which she presumes are from the hospital.
Nicola is stunned by who has been calling and makes her way to the hospital to face them – it’s George’s adoptive father Eddie Knight (Christopher Fairbank) who discloses he’s dying, reports OK!.
A dubious Nicola fibs when George quizzes her about where she’s been, but she’s quickly caught out when he discovers a hospital parking ticket and she’s compelled to tell the truth. George rushes to the hospital to visit Eddie and is taken aback by his frailty.

Gina and Kojo Asare (Dayo Koleosho) are stunned to discover his location. George encounters questions from his relatives and goes to see Eddie one last time.
Nicola is astounded when her accountant discloses Harry’s Barn is losing money and Gina and Harry eventually confess when challenged but Harry pleads with Nicola not to sell Harry’s Barn.
Nicola goes to the hospital to warn Eddie to stay away from her family. Meanwhile, Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) rallies round Denise Fox (Diane Parish) after discovering her nodding off in the salon. The next day, Sam pops in to see Denise who confirms she’s arranged a GP appointment regarding her exhaustion.
Sam subsequently plants a seed when she proposes Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) puts money into Fox and Hair following Linda Carter’s (Kellie Bright) revelation that she’s keen to offload her stake.

Additionally, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) becomes obsessed with his councillor bid but is devastated to learn that most backers are plumping for Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe).
Ian attempts to buy some residents’ votes at the allotment but his scheme backfires. Bea Pollard (Ronni Ancona) turns up with a remedy, a character assassination video targeting Elaine, but Ian harbours reservations.
Meanwhile, Linda feels envious of Max Branning (Jake Wood) and Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) but gets a boost from Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp), who urges her to treat herself. Elsewhere, Kat (Jessie Wallace) and Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) are gutted to discover that their loyal customers are boozing at the allotments.
