Lincoln Younes, a former star of Home and Away, has scored an exciting new TV role in the upcoming biographical drama Last King of the Cross.
Younes, who portrayed Casey Braxton in the Australian serial for three years before leaving in 2014, will star in the series as John Ibrahim, the author of the same-named autobiography.
According to Variety, the 10-part drama for Paramount Plus will follow the lives of brothers John and Sam Ibrahim, whose aspirations to gain influence on Sydney’s streets end up severing their bond.
Last King of the Cross will tell the narrative of John Ibrahim’s ascent from a poor Lebanese immigrant to Australia’s most infamous nightclub mogul.
“It is an honour to have the opportunity to play such a formidable character in a world where truth is often stranger than fiction,” Younes said of his latest role.
“I feel privileged to lead a diverse cast with a Lebanese character at its centre, and I’m excited to bring the world to Sydney’s Kings Cross once more.”
Kieran Darcy-Smith of Wolf Creek, who will write and direct the upcoming episode, promised audiences a “wild journey.”
“John Ibrahim is an enigma wrapped in a mystery, among other things. He’s an intriguing and engrossing figure. a single person “Darcy-Smith made a joke.
He continued, full of adulation for Younes: “As a result, it was critical to locate the appropriate person to play him. It was a huge relief to find Lincoln.”
Lincoln Younes will be remembered by fans of Home and Away as one of the infamous Braxton brothers, commonly known as ‘The River Boys,’ a dysfunctional and troublesome trio.
