Johnny Ruffo’s girlfriend Tahnee Sims remains at his side every step of the way as he fights his second battle with brain cancer — a lady he has often credited with saving his life.
The talented musician and former star of Home and Away has been battling cancer since 2017 and was given the all-clear in 2020 after numerous rounds of chemotherapy.
His beautiful girlfriend Tahnee, with whom he can’t wait to spend the rest of his life, is by his side as he fights cancer.
In June 2021, Johnny was asked by Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa if he would ask Tahnee to marry him.
“At some stage, I would think so!” he answered.
Johnny also expressed his expectations for the future, stating that he’d “like to think” he’ll be married to Tahnee.
When it came to whether or not children were welcome at the table, Johnny was a little more hesitant to respond, but he had a fairly amusing reason for his apprehension.
“I’m not sure about children; I just think I’m too selfish to have them, in a good way,” he remarked.
“I’d like to go to the football game, but I don’t want to have to worry about finding a babysitter!”
The 34-year-old went on to say that he enjoys his freedom, particularly being able to travel on vacations without having to care for his children.
For the time being, Johnny is pleased with just him and Tahnee, calling his seven-year relationship as “amazing.”
“She’s been there for me from day one, she’s incredible, from day one,” he said.
After meeting in a dancing studio in 2015, the two began dating, and Johnny has appreciated her love and support throughout the years.
“She’s been incredible. I can’t fault her. She’s been there for me every step of the way from literally the day I was diagnosed to now,” Johnny gushed to Daily Mail Australia in 2018.
“She’s been absolutely amazing. She’s been my rock so it’s been really good.”
