General Hospital spoilers and updates indicate that Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is a fugitive, currently on the run and hiding in Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) attic.

The WSB is determined to capture him, either dead or alive, and Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) is growing more desperate to apprehend him.

Valentin’s Path To Redemption

Valentin is in a complicated situation because he has feelings for Carly, and she feels the same way about him. It looks like he might be in trouble soon, but his status as a fugitive could change-currently, many people in Port Charles view Valentin Cassadine negatively.

To be honest, he wasn’t a good person when he first appeared on General Hospital; he was meant to be the most feared and dangerous of the Cassadines.

Remember, he shot Nikolas Cassadine (played by Tyler Christopher) and also shot Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) while actually aiming for Laura Collins (Genie Francis). After that, we saw Valentin make a significant change. He managed to come back from all of that.

Then Things Went Downhill Again

However, things went downhill again when he got involved with Jack Brennan and Pikeman, leading to him being on the run while Brennan somehow became a station chief. It doesn’t seem fair, does it?

This redemption seems more about appearances and personal views, along with getting a pardon, rather than genuine change; Valentin has already changed a lot.

Plus, we need to consider that these crimes are not straightforward. So, it’s not just about redemption in the eyes of Port Charles; it’s also about legal redemption-let’s discuss how he could completely clear his record.

Expose And Take Down Cullum

The first action Valentin could take is to expose and eliminate Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes). He is a notorious villain who kidnapped and tortured Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).

Additionally, Cullum murdered Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) and is coercing Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to finish Cesar Faison‘s (Anders Hove) final project.

Therefore, if Valentin manages to take Cullum down, it would be a significant step towards his redemption.

The WSB would have to dismiss charges against Valentin if he reveals Cullum as a traitor as well as someone who conspired with the master criminal Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).

Sonny, Carly, Michael, Jason And Lucas Would Thank Valentin For Taking Down Cullum

Moreover, Valentin would gain Carly’s respect and likely Sonny Corinthos‘ (Maurice Benard) if he helped uncover Cullum as the penthouse bomber who nearly killed Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).

Not to mention the one responsible for stabbing Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo), for which Sonny is being blamed. Honestly, Valentin would be assisting many people by taking Cullum down, whether he kills Cullum or just helps imprison him in Steinmauer, it would be a relief for Britt.

Britt is terrified of Cullum and fears he will kill her once the Cold Fusion project is completed. Furthermore, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) would be thankful since Cullum is targeting him, and Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) would be excited to see justice served for Marco.

Valentin Could, And Should, Be The One To Save Anna

One way for Valentin to earn redemption and have his charges dismissed is by saving Anna, who has been framed by Cullum. Valentin truly cares for Anna, but I doubt they will rekindle their relationship-as painful as their breakup was, it’s too much water under the bridge now.

At this point, it seems that Valentin and Carly are meant to be together. Still, Valentin wants to protect Anna from the shady WSB operation that Cullum has devised. If he rescues Anna while revealing Cullum’s plans, it could lead to the redemption he seeks.

Valentin Could Rescue Jason

Additionally, another opportunity for Valentin to gain redemption and a pardon is by helping to save Jason from the illegal WSB warrant and abduction orchestrated by Cullum.

This act would certainly set Valentin on the path to redemption, and influential figures could advocate for his pardon. Jason holds significance for many powerful individuals, including the Quartermaines, Sonny, Mayor Laura, and others.

If Valentin manages to save Jason and bring him back, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) would also appreciate it. Moreover, this could positively influence Sonny’s view of Valentin, which is quite important.

Carly Would Be Thankful If Valentin Rescued Jason

Naturally, Carly would be extremely thankful if Valentin rescued Jason, her closest friend. If Valentin were to do that, I believe Carly would go to great lengths to clear Valentin’s name, even putting immense pressure on Jack to remove the WSB from Valentin’s case. Carly already has feelings for Valentin.

If he were to perform such a brave act and save her best friend Jason, Carly would conclude that not only does he deserve a pardon. This would make her see that Valentin is the right man for her. I also believe Brennan would lose his chance with Carly for good.

Valentin Could Stop The Cold Fusion Project

Next, there’s the Cold Fusion project that is bound to create turmoil. We aren’t sure how Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) final project will function; however, they wouldn’t go through all this effort to have Britt complete it just for good intentions.

Cullum and Sidwell aren’t planning to use cold fusion to reduce gas and energy costs in Port Charles.

In fact, I suspect Cullum intends to misuse it, likely as a weapon. Therefore, if Valentin can help disable the Cold Fusion device and protect all of Port Charles, that would be an immediate redemption, don’t you think?

Sonny Risked His Life Over Removing A Bomb Around Ten Years Ago

You might recall that it was just over ten years ago, around 2015, when Sonny was a fugitive; he had escaped from Pentonville and was in hiding. Then he discovered that many lives were in danger.

Sonny put his own life on the line to remove a bomb from the Haunted Star that Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) had placed.

Thanks to Sonny, many lives were saved-the following day, the governor reduced his sentence, allowing him to walk free. So, if Valentin manages to save all of Port Charles from this cold fusion issue, he might also receive a free pass.

Valentin Could Expose Cassius Faison

Additionally, if he is cleaning up the WSB situation, he could potentially expose Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey). It’s uncertain whether Valentin is aware that Faison has a fourth child or if he will discover this during his investigation. However, revealing that a minion of Sidwell’s took over Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey)  life is significant.

Cassius is deceptive, especially since Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) is currently dating him without realizing it-she believes he is Nathan. Therefore, if Valentin were to expose him, allowing Lulu, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), and others to learn the truth about Nathan’s death, it would be a major turning point.

Valentin Wouldn’t Want Charlotte To Have Cassius As A Stepfather

Additionally, I believe Valentin will be focused on revealing Cassius because he won’t want his co-parent, Lulu, to be involved with that monster. Valentin also doesn’t want creepy Cassius near their daughter, Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) He may not be as evil as they portray him, but he is definitely a bad guy and a criminal henchman.

Currently, Lulu believes Nathan is a much better man than Valentin, but that’s not the case. Honestly, Cassius seems worse than Valentin at this stage;  it’s not certain that exposing Cassius will lead to redemption,  but it could be part of a larger effort.
