Home and Away confirms full details of dramatic stabbing storyline

A dramatic stabbing storyline for Home and Away has been announced, leaving Tane Parata’s life in the balance as Mackenzie Booth’s illegal poker night operation threatens to end in tragedy.

Mackenzie (Emily Weir) is still in debt to villain PK (Ryan Johnson) after he deceived her over her illegal poker games and claimed she owed him $100,000 in scenes showing this week in Australia and in June in the UK.

After failing to spend the night with him in order to ‘clear’ her debt, both Mac and PK are now seeking vengeance on the other – putting Mac in a very hazardous situation, according to TV Week.

“PK wants to win, be in charge, and come out on top,” Emily, a Mac star, said. “He is an egotist who despises being told no. He intends to exact vengeance for her deception by torturing her.”

In the new scenes, Mac and Felicity Newman (Jacqui Purvis), who have been operating the poker nights together, devise a scheme to pay off Salt’s debts and finally get rid of PK.

Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor), Mac’s brother, isn’t keen on the idea and offers to bring in the River Boys to “take care” of the matter, but Mac is adamant about doing things her way.

Mac goes through with PK’s scheme, preparing another poker night in his honour and promising him the proceeds – but in truth, she intends to use the money to pay off her obligations.

Listening in, Dean’s girlfriend Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) becomes concerned that Mac and Dean are playing a hazardous game with PK.

The scenario becomes much more tense when PK’s accomplice Nathan (Ryan Panizza) arrives and informs Mac that if she is planning a revenge scheme, she must abandon it immediately since she is in grave danger.

Mac dismisses Nathan and tells him to leave, but she later realises that she should have taken his warning seriously when two guys ambush Mac and Dean as they close up Salt.

The attackers force the couple to the ground, one wielding a knife, before searching the eatery for cash and belongings.

Meanwhile, Felicity and Tane (Ethan Browne) are closing down the gym when they decide to go check on Mac.

Dean manages to knock one of the crooks to the ground while Tane wrestles with the other due to their unexpected appearance at Salt. The invaders escape as a result of their intervention, but Felicity is shocked when she runs to check on her lover and discovers that he has been stabbed.

Tane is obviously in need of medical attention, but Mac realises that going to the hospital will expose all of her unlawful activities. Felicity proposes they call Mac’s boyfriend, Dr. Logan Bennett, instead, but Mac is well aware that involving Logan (Harley Bonner) in her unlawful business will ensnare him.

“There is a very real and terrible possibility that Tane will die as a result of the stabbing,” Emily said. “Mackenzie is put in a predicament where Tane requires immediate medical attention, but doing so discloses the illicit behaviour that has been going on at Salt.”

Mac is facing an enormous, life-or-death dilemma – what will she decide to do?
