Tane (Ethan Browne) tries his hardest to keep the split family together while putting on a brave face and breaking apart. However, Chloe’s frequent visits to the Farm House irritate Dean (Patrick O’Connor), who confronts Tane with the question: “Why is Chloe avoiding her own home?”
Tane is irritated by his ex-suggestion boyfriend’s that he is leading the family astray, but Dean is eager to establish some limits so that Bella can reclaim her own life. Dean tells Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) that not only does Bella need Chloe to return home, but Mia also needs to reconcile with her daughter.
Mackenzie (Emily Weir) later appears in the caravan park, where Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) and Tane are still half-dressed. Tane is laughed out of the office during an unexpected work meeting. The two make arrangements to spend the night in Salt that night, but their plans are thwarted when Mia calls him upset since her reunion with Chloe didn’t go well.
Mia is irritated by her inability to communicate with Chloe, who is emotionally exhausted. She expresses her gratitude to Tane for assisting the family and describes him as her rock. Meanwhile, Felicity meets Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) and they laugh about how strange they feel. They sit down and catch up, and Felicity complains about Tane’s hectic schedule with his family.
Tane is doing the dishes that night when Felicity knocks on the door. She has chosen to surprise him, and he is overjoyed. Tane is delighted to comply when she promises they can keep their late-night rendezvous a secret.
However, their steamy session on the sofa is barely underway when Mia appears in the hallway, sleepwalking. As Tane rushes to help her back to bed, Felicity is clearly struggling to cope with her boyfriend’s obligations. Could this be it for Felicity and Tane?
