Dean is poised to be framed for murder in Home and Away, in scenes slated to air in the UK in the coming weeks.

The unlucky victim is PK, a ruthless businessman who was ruthlessly taken down with a wrench and found dead on the beach.

The wrench in issue reappears in Ziggy’s car, covered in blood, and the finger of suspicion quickly circles Dean – but he believes he knows who the real killer is.

While Dean insists that he had nothing to do with the wrench or the attack, others are sceptical that he’s speaking the truth. He not only has a history with PK, but his extended relationship with the River Boys also lends credence to the theory that he was the one who did it.

Someone appears to be plotting to frame him for the crime, but is Dean correct in his assessment that Nathan is the true villain of the story?

In an interview with TV Week, star Patrick O’Connor discussed the storyline and what it’s like for Dean to be the prime suspect while still knowing who the real criminal is.

“Dean is furious that he has been falsely accused. He’s hoping for a simple confession from Nathan, but if that’s not the case, he’s willing to go to any length to acquire it.”

The River Boys, who are holding Nathan hostage in order to extort a confession from him, are an example of going to extreme extremes. When the tried-and-true aggressive strategy fails, Dean opts for a gentler approach with Nathan– but untying Nathan proves to be a mistake.

Nathan flees the scene quickly, prompting a desperate hunt in a junkyard. Will they be able to locate Nathan, and will Dean be able to clear his name?
