Home and Away; Mackenzie Booth reveals she’s BROKE!

In Home and Away, Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) realizes she’s in financial trouble.

When Mackenzie receives a letter from Salt, she finds herself in a gloomy situation. But why does it make the owner of the restaurant-stroke-bar so depressed?

Ryder Jackson (Lukas Radovich) is ecstatic about the cocktail menu he’s created for Salt, but when he shows it to his employer, she advises him to forget about it!

It’s not going to happen!

Mackenzie then snaps at her brother Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor) when he comes over for a bite to eat. If he thinks he’ll get something for free today, he’ll be disappointed!

Dean and Ryder are in a state of shock. What’s the matter with Mackenzie?

She tells them she’s tired of being taken for a ride and that she’s going to call in her debts.

When Mackenzie receives a call from her insurance provider with bad news, everything becomes clear. Her policy, it turns out, does not cover the costs of last year’s gas attack.

Mackenzie begins to crumble as she realises how much debt she has accumulated, and when Dean finds her at her lowest point, she is forced to reveal that she is bankrupt.

Dean advises she ask Logan Bennett (Harley Bonner) for assistance, but she refuses and vows her brother to silence.

Mackenzie must figure out a way to get out of debt.

Justin Morgan (James Stewart) is perplexed as to why Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) refuses to hire Theo Poulos (Matt Evans) as an apprentice at Summer Bay Auto.

Justin has enraged Ziggy by granting Theo an apprenticeship without consulting her, and she refuses to work with him due of his attitude.

Ziggy relents and softens, but makes it obvious that she will keep the women’s CVs on file.

Although Justin and Ziggy have made an agreement, is Ziggy’s new apprentice in for a fight?

Justin stands firm in his choice and declares it definitive, but it sends Ziggy on a mission…

She believes Justin should have considered employing a woman, so she presents him with a stack of CVs from women and tells him she won’t stand by and watch as a male gets a free ride while a woman is passed over.

Justin responds that it is his business and decision, and that he regards Ziggy and Theo as family.

After learning that her mother Martha Stewart (Belinda Giblin) has become ill, Roo (Georgie Parker) begs Logan Bennett to contact the Merimbula medical team to determine the severity of the situation.

Roo wants to pay a visit to her mother, but her father Alf (Ray Meagher) insists that she not discuss the kidney transplant that could save Martha’s life. Roo, on the other hand, will only vow not to bring it up if she knows it will be futile…

When Logan confirms the worst, Roo is faced with the prospect of losing her mother.

Will Roo eventually confess defeat and pay a visit to her mother?
