Home and Away Spoilers; Can Nikau save Millie from drowning

On this week’s episode of Home and Away in Australia, Nikau and Xander struggle to prevent Millie from drowning, while Mac must make a rapid decision when Tane is hurt at Salt…

After arriving in Summer Bay, paramedic Xander Delaney (Luke Van Os) didn’t take long to find his first patient, and he wasn’t even on duty at the time!

Xander had been turned down for a job at the local EMS station in Yabbie Creek, despite his desire to move to Summer Bay permanently to be closer to his newfound half-sister Jasmine (Sam Frost).

Rose (Kirsty Marillier), Jasmine’s other half-sister, had already achieved greater success by landing a job at the Yabbie Creek police station with Jasmine’s lover Cash (Nicholas Cartwright).

Jasmine and Xander were on their way to Reefton Lakes after speaking with Logan (Harley Bonner), who had made inquiries with some of his old colleagues at the base, when they came across a nasty road accident.

They were taken aback when they discovered Logan driving one automobile and Millie (Zara Zoe) driving the other. Xander went searching for her best friend Jo, who had gone off in search of aid, only to find Jo’s body nearby.

Millie was kept calm by Xander since he was compelled to do an emergency treatment in situ to relieve air from her lungs, and the truth about her best friend’s death was kept hidden from her.

When Xander arrived at the hospital with the team, he was disappointed to hear that no one had yet notified Millie about Jo, however Rose pointed out that Jo’s next-of-kin had yet to be informed, a chore that she and Cash were soon faced with.

Millie was unhappy that Xander had pledged to look after them, and she later blamed him for Jo’s death, asking him to leave.

Millie was relieved to learn that Jo had died before they arrived on the scene, which was fortunate because Xander paid her a visit the next day with flowers. Xander requested Millie to tell him about Jo, so she apologised…

As Xander continued to visit Millie throughout the course of last week, it began to worry Rose, who observed that Xander may be a little too gentle with patients at times.

Millie departs the hospital this week, tortured with remorse over her closest friend’s death, and heads to the beach in Summer Bay.

Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo), a resident volunteer lifeguard, is on patrol with a particularly severe rip just off the shore, and yells out to a fully clad Millie as she walks past the danger signs and into the ocean!

Nik pursues Millie, who soon finds herself dragged underneath and battling to breathe.

Club manager John (Shane Withington) arrives on the scene just after Nik is able to take an unconscious Millie back onto the beach, followed by Jasmine and Xander, who are desperately searching for Millie after her disappearance from the hospital.

A desperate Xander takes over the chest compressions as they fight to save Millie.

“After her friend’s death, Xander feels compelled to follow up on the patient and continues to go above and above throughout her recovery,” Luke Van Os told TV Week. “The main focus is on his empathy for her and his understanding of what it’s like to lose a loved one.”

As time passes with no sign of Millie, Xander refuses to lose up, and Jasmine begins to worry about her brother’s commitment to his patient.

Will Millie pull through?

Meanwhile, Mackenzie’s (Emily Weir) revenge scheme backfires when Tane (Ethan Browne) gets stabbed!

After being persuaded by PK to hold a private poker night for him and a few pals, an event that would totally wipe off her debts, Mac was taken aback when PK informed her that the house had lost and she owed the players $100,000.

PK indicated that he’d paid the players’ debts, thus Mac’s ‘debt’ was only with him… then she’d be able to repay him by staying in his hotel room with him.

Of course, Mac had no idea that the whole thing was a ruse. Because it’s impossible for the house to lose in poker, PK made sure that Mac’s typical hostess Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) was not present at the event.

When Mac learned the truth from her brother Dean (Patrick O’Connor) the next morning, she was disgusted. Despite the fact that Mac didn’t end up sleeping with PK, she still felt embarrassed about going to his hotel room in the first place, no matter how desperate she was at the time.

It was unforgivable to her that she’d considered cheating on Logan, with whom she’d recently realised she was in love.

Despite Dean’s warnings, Mac is determined to make PK pay for his heinous scheme this week, but PK is also on the warpath after Mac’s rejection…

Emily told TV Week, “PK wants to win, control, and come out on top.” “He’s an egomaniac who despises being told no.” He seeks vengeance for her deception and to punish her…”

Mac’s plan is to host another poker night to generate funds to pay PK back, but she’ll doublecross him and use the money to pay off her debt.

Dean and Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) try to persuade her otherwise, but Dean’s alternative plan of enlisting the River Boys is as unpopular, and Mac is adamant on going forwards with or without them.

Nathan (Ryan Panizza), PK’s associate who was last seen holding Flick captive in the Parata residence to ensure she didn’t destroy PK’s scheme, later pays a visit to Salt to warn her about crossing PK, but she laughs at his warning and begs him to leave.

However, when Dean and Mac are closing up shop that evening, two men burst into Salt. They force them to the ground with knives before destroying the building in quest of money and other valuables.

When Tane and Felicity arrive, they become distracted, and Dean wrestles one of the invaders to the ground. However, while Tane is tackling the other, the knife is thrust into him…

As the intruders flee, it becomes evident that Tane requires immediate medical assistance. Taking him to the hospital, on the other hand, will simply raise more inquiries, exposing the illicit activity at Salt.

As Flick recommends, their only other alternative is to phone Logan… However, doing so will reveal Mac’s lies to her lover, as well as make him an accessory…

There is a very real and terrifying chance that Tane could die from the stabbing,” Emily continued.

Being put in a situation where Tane needs urgent medical help, but by doing so reveals the criminal activity that’s been transpiring at Salt is the position Mackenzie is put in.
