Home and Away Spoilers – Mia has an unexpected final moment with Ari

Mia has an unexpected final contact with her late husband next week on Home and Away in the UK, as the community seeks to aid the Paratas after Ari’s death…

Summer Bay was devastated by Ari Parata’s (Rob Kipa-Williams) unexpected death from an aggressive type of cancer last week. Ari was already facing a lengthy prison sentence after falsely confessing to the murder of Matthew Montgomery (James Sweeny), the biological father of genuine killer Chloe Montgomery (Sam Barrett).

Mia (Anna Samson), who married Ari just before he died, is numb this week as the last of the guests leave after Ari’s tangi (Mori ceremonial funeral).

Chloe begs Bella (Courtney Miller) to stay with her since she doesn’t want to be alone in the house with Mia with Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) and Tane (Ethan Browne) following Ari’s body back to New Zealand.

Chloe had no idea what to say to her mother after causing so much agony for Ari and Mia in the latter weeks of Ari’s life, as Ari accepted the responsibility for Chloe’s crime.

Mia decides to pay a visit to Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) at the police station the next day after receiving a delivery of Ari’s personal belongings from the detention centre.

Mia is curious about Ari’s death and what it means for the case against him; she doesn’t want Ari to be remembered as a murderer, especially because she is one of the few people in Summer Bay who knows what occurred on that fateful day.

Mia is relieved to learn that the matter has been officially closed by the DPP, meaning there will be no charges or legal procedures.

Meanwhile, other inhabitants of the bay have been doing everything they can to assist the family in their time of need, with Ryder (Lukas Radovich) and Theo (Matt Evans) coming up with the idea of making a memorial video to Ari that includes interviews with his pals.

Chloe is touched by Theo and Ryder’s caring gesture as they show her the video. When Chloe tries to show the footage to Mia, though, she gets a completely different reaction. Before storming into the diner and blasting Theo and Ryder, she orders her to stop playing it.

Do you not think that it’s hard enough for my to say goodbye to my husband,” she exclaims, “without having to watch everyone else do it as well?!

The efforts of other residents also go down like a lead balloon.

Later in the week, Dean (Patrick O’Connor) is motivated to help in some way when he and Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) discover that the Paratas may be having financial difficulties because the gym is still closed. They’re shortly joined by John (Shane Withington), who has just driven Tane and Nik home from the airport, and Roo (Shane Withington) (Georgie Parker).

Dean and Ziggy give Mia their proposal for a crowdfunding campaign to help with any remaining funeral bills and other expenses, but she says no angrily. Mia subsequently tells Tane that Ari was an extremely proud man who refused to take assistance.

However, Mia is visited by Ari in a dream that night. She expresses her loneliness, but he reminds her that she is surrounded by friends and family and that she must let others in if she is to have any hope of going forwards.

“They want to help you, and they need you just as much as you need them,” he assures her.

Ari reveals that his spirit has a long way to go before it can rest, but that he won’t be able to do so until he knows Mia is safe.

a tear-filled Mia inquires if she can stay with Ari, but he informs her that this is not possible.

Mia heeds his counsel, assuring Ari that he has nothing to be concerned about and that his spirit can rest, and the two kiss until Mia awakens alone in her bed.

The next day, Mia seeks out Dean and Ziggy, apologizes for her behavior, and gives them her OK to proceed with the fundraiser.

As Mia heads to the gym, she encourages Tane to do the same—been he’s looking out for everyone else, and now he wants some time with his girlfriend Felicity (Jacqui Purvis).

Tane walks over to Flick’s van and is amused to see her dancing to music on her headphones—already he’s feeling better in a single second.

Tane is philosophical that evening, and he talks about how Ari’s death has helped him realize what’s truly essential.

But when Tane says that when he looks at the big picture, he only sees Flick, Flick freezes…. has Tane revealed too much?
