Millie resorts to blackmail as she recalls the cause of her and Logan’s accident this week on Home and Away in Australia, while Bella has a surprising guest.
Logan Bennett’s (Harley Bonner) future is on a knife’s edge right now, as the police examine the reason of his recent vehicle accident.
Logan was driving down the Reefton Lakes road when he collided with Millie’s (Zara Zoe) car, with Jasmine (Sam Frost) and Xander (Luke Van Os) arriving shortly after.
Millie’s passenger and best friend Jo was found dead nearby, having died of a brain injury while leaving to seek assistance.
Xander was on present to conduct an emergency treatment on Millie in her car while simultaneously shielding her from learning the truth about her companion, and has been on the lookout for her ever since.
Both of his half-sisters, Jasmine and Rose (Kirsty Marillier), have voiced concern that he is becoming too involved to Millie, but Xander dismisses their fears, claiming that he is the only person to whom Millie will speak up about her sadness over Jo.
Logan revealed that the police are now assuming the collision was his fault—it appears that he was speeding—after Jasmine saw he was particularly upset at work last week. Logan, like Millie, has no memory of the accident and is forced to rely on the evidence brought to him by officer Cash. (Cartwright, Nicholas)
Logan went to see if Millie had started to recall anything about the accident, but was interrupted by Xander, who begged him to leave because his presence was bothering her.
When he later expressed his displeasure with Logan to Jasmine, she shared what Logan had told her privately—that he was the one who was most likely to blame for the tragedy.
Xander returned to the hospital immediately, only to discover Millie had vanished. She had indeed arrived at Summer Bay’s beach and began to wade into the water fully dressed.
Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo), a lifeguard, was on there to pull her from the dangerous surf, just as Xander and Jasmine arrived to assist.
Millie regained consciousness after Xander gave her CPR, and she immediately began ranting about how she was responsible for Jo’s death.
To Jasmine’s surprise, Xander then told her that the accident was entirely Logan’s responsibility and that she had nothing to do with it.
This week, however, Millie makes a breakthrough as facts of the tragedy begin to surface… and it appears that she WAS at blame after all!
Millie’s guilt returns as she mourns the loss of her best friend, and Xander tries to console her, but he’s taken aback when she refuses to go to the police with the truth.
“Do you really think you can live with this secret for the rest of your life?” Xander is seen asking her in the promo for Monday’s episode.
Xander later wonders if she’s changed her mind; she can’t let an innocent guy be punished with death by risky driving?
When Millie says she’s not going to change her mind, Xander says he has no choice but to go to the cops himself.
Millie, on the other hand, turns on Xander and threatens to report him for harassment if he does so!
Xander’s frequent trips to Millie have already been the subject of conversation with several individuals around the bay, so such an accusation would be damaging to Xander, especially since he’s in the running for a job at the Yabbie Creek ambulance station.
Millie appears to have learnt that Xander has a history of overly intimate relationships with patients, as she turns around and exclaims, “It’s not like you don’t have a history of it!”
In a separate scene in the promo, Rose is seen saying to her brother “We’re not going through all of this again, stay away from that girl”
Will Xander stand up for himself and risk his career, or will he be compelled to let Logan go down for an accident that wasn’t his fault?
When Bella’s photographer buddy Emmett Ellison (J.R. Reyne) returns to Summer Bay, she gets a surprising guest.
When they met during Nikau’s fashion modelling tale, Emmett took Bella under his wing as an apprentice, and the two showed their work together at a prominent exhibition in the city.
When Emmett was offered a job in New York, their partnership came to an end.
But now Emmett is the one with the job offer, approaching Bella with the chance of a lifetime…
Emmett’s comeback was first rumoured in December, and when it was later revealed that Courtney Miller appeared to have quit the show after moving to Melbourne, it seemed only natural that the two were linked.
The only problem is her friendship with Nik, which has become stronger in recent months as she has assisted him in dealing with the loss of his uncle Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams). Nik’s life has only recently been put back on track after landing his own dream job as a paid lifeguard at Summer Bay Surf Club.
When Bella discloses the chance that awaits her, how will Nik react?
