As fans prepare to bid their goodbyes to Ramsay Street, spoilers for the final episodes begin to surface.

Following the news that Neighbours was coming to an end, the show promised to end on a positive note.

Many rumours have circulated about what’s in store for the series’ finale, including one that said Ramsay Street was going to blow up.

We’ve collated all we know about the soap’s final episodes below, including the narrative, which characters are departing, and which famous faces might return.

    How will Neighbours end?

When asked by TV Tonight if he would contemplate blowing up Ramsay Street as a farewell, Neighbours executive producer Jason Herbison quickly dismissed the idea.

“I would never, ever blow it up,” Jason emphasized. “The ending will be a celebration of the past and the present, with the door very much left open for a future.

“Ramsay Street is eternal and I like to think it will live on in the hearts and minds of the viewers, long after the final scene.”

Aside from that, the executive producer held his cards close to his chest when it came to the plot of the finale.

    Who is leaving Neighbours?

Some of the soap’s actors have announced their departures ahead of the last episode.

Kyle Canning (Chris Milligan) and Roxy Willis are among the characters saying their goodbyes (Zima Anderson).

According to Digital Spy, the performers’ exits were confirmed by Colette Mann, who played Sheila Canning, during an Isolation Interviews conversation with Hospital Radio Reading.

Ned Willis (portrayed by Ben Hall) is another character believed to be leaving the program since his contract has expired, according to the website.

The three cast members’ exits were reportedly scheduled ahead of the show’s cancellation.

    Who is returning to Neighbours?

Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan, aka Scott and Charlene, will return to Neighbours for the finale, according to executive producer Jason Herbison!

In May, the executive claimed it “wouldn’t feel right” to end the show without the “ultimate Neighbours pair” on Twitter.

“We are thrilled that Jason and Kylie have come home to play a very special part in our series finale,” he wrote, adding that it has been an “emotional experience” for everyone.

Fans were particularly excited when Kylie and Jason shared a mysterious look of their scripts on their Instagram profiles.

Furthermore, according to a February article from The Sun, Ian Smith agreed to return to the show for its last season as Harold Bishop, and filming was set to begin in March.

The bigwigs are also in communication with Guy Pearce, who played Mike Young on the soap, according to the publication.

    When will the finale premiere?

The final episode of Neighbours is set to air in Australia in September.

    Why are Neighbours ending?

On March 3, 2022, it was announced that favorite soap Neighbours would be ending after nearly four decades on our screens.

On Thursday evening, the tragic news was shared on the official Neighbours Twitter account.

“We are so sorry to say that after nearly 37 years and almost 9000 episodes broadcast we have to confirm that Neighbours will cease production in June,” the first Tweet in the series read.

The message went on to explain why the axing was made.

“We simply have no choice but to put the show on hold following the loss of our important broadcast partner in the UK, despite a thorough hunt for alternative funding.”

The show’s “wonderful” and “dedicated” viewers were thanked in the tweet, which also promised a memorable finale.

“We understand that this is a great disappointment for everyone on the squad. We appreciate all of your messages and support, and we pledge to end the program on a positive note. We’ll be commemorating Neighbours from now on.”
