It happens right after Mark returned from his trip to Australia earlier this week and they went on a special date.

The former soap star and the TV host took a romantic harbour cruise in Sydney on Sunday, just days after Mark shared the key to their successful long-distance relationship, providing a rare glimpse inside the couple’s marriage.

To go to the Sydney coastal district of Manly, Michelle and Mark sailed by the famous Opera House and Harbour Bridge. There, they paused for a drink and some food.

For the past eight weeks, Michelle has been working hard in Australia to complete the filming of her most recent project, the 1950s-set new BBC drama Ten Pound Poms.

In the six-part period drama, the actress will play a young nurse named Kate who travels to Australia without her fiance and would stop at nothing to attempt and rewrite her traumatic history.

Last week, Mark, Michelle’s husband, provided some uncommon insight into the couple’s long-distance union when he acknowledged that working in the same field had made their relationship simpler.

Speaking to MailOnline, Mark said he and Michelle ‘support each other’ to achieve all of their ‘goals and dreams’.

Speaking about their relationship, he said: ‘I think both being in the same industry really helps. Because we get each other’s careers, and we totally understand it.

‘Essentially, we both just want each other to achieve all of our goals and all of our dreams and we just support each other every step of the way for that, you know.’

Mark recently said: ‘If you’re in love and in a happy relationship you will be happy to see each other.

‘You have to learn that you’ve been together for a long time and not seen each other in three weeks so it’s exciting at first but then it goes back to being a 10 year relationship.’
