Neighbour’s Alan Fletcher’s life with journalist wife Jennifer Hansen and children away from Karl Kennedy role

The Karl Kennedy actor is a very recognized face to soap opera fans around the world as he stars on Neighbours, as one of the longest-running characters on Australian television.

Alan Fletcher is well-known for his role as Karl Kennedy, a famous doctor and family man on Neighbours.

While Karl is the actor’s most well-known role on the serial, he did play another character on the show before his long-running return.

However, nothing is known about Alan’s personal life outside of the show.

How old is Alan and where is he from?

Alan is 64 years old, having been born on March 30, 1957. He grew up in Perth, Western Australia, and went to Wesley College.

He got his start in shows like Cop Shop, a police drama, and The Love Boat, a US sitcom.

Greg Cooper, a run-down, dishonest boxer who worked in Jim Robinson’s garage, had his debut appearance in Neighbours in 1987.

In 1994, Alan returned to the soap with the role of Karl Kennedy. After Ray Meagher, who plays Alf Stewart in Home and Away, and Lynne McGranger, who plays Irene Roberts in Irene Roberts, he is the third longest-serving performer in an Australian television series.

Does Alan have any other jobs outside of Neighbours?

Yes, Alan is a member of the Waiting Room, a rock and alternative rock band.

The band was formed in 2004 and, while they have a number of original songs, they also perform covers.

One had a Neighbours connection, with the band singing Smokie’s “Living Next Door to Alice.” Due to Alan’s on-screen wife Susan Kennedy, played by Jackie Woodburne, they changed Alice’s name to Susan.

On December 17, 2007, Waiting Room released their debut album, Live at the Elephant.

Who is Alan married to?

Alan is married to Jennifer Hansen, a former Network Ten Melbourne announcer, and journalist. In 1990, the pair married and have two children together.

Veronica, their 26-year-old daughter, works as a patisserie chef, and Tom, their 23-year-old son, is a Melbourne University graduate.

Alan admits to being a helicopter parent and saying that his children are the light of his life. He even revealed that his children refer to him as “Doctor Dad” because of his character’s occupation.
