Three weeks before his comeback as Pierce Greyson as part of a big new plot, Neighbours has revealed the first details of Tim Robards‘ return as Pierce Greyson.
Tim Robards, who played Pierce Greyson from 2018 to 2020, is slated to return as the millionaire in a future storyline featuring his son Hendrix.
Robards rose to notoriety after being cast in Australia’s The Bachelor in 2013.
In 2018, he joined the cast of Neighbours and made his on-screen debut in October of that year. When Covid-19 hit and Australian states began closing their borders, Tim decided to leave the show to spend more time in Sydney with his wife Anna Heinrich and newborn daughter Elle.
Because Pierce was having an affair with Dipi Rebecchi (Sharon Johal), it was decided to recast the part, and Don Hany came in for Pierce’s final months in Erinsborough.
Pierce returned to Erinsborough in 2021 to sell his treasured vineyard to Leo Tanaka, and Don briefly resumed the role (Tim Kano).
Now, ‘original Pierce’ is set to return, bringing the character full circle.
Of his return to the show, Tim said: “It was an absolute honour to be asked back to reprise my role as the OG Pierce Greyson!
“Covid state border restrictions resulted in my sudden departure and replacement back in 2020 for what should have been my last month of filming. I’m beyond excited and grateful to get back and see the whole team whom I never got to say goodbye to.
“Now knowing the show is coming to an end, it’s such a privilege to be a part of it one last time.”
April Rose Pengilly, who plays Pierce’s ex-wife Chloe Brennan, is happy to be reunited with her original on-screen husband before the series closes in June, according to a press release announcing Tim’s return.
Tim’s homecoming was originally announced in early March, when Kate Kendall, the director of Neighbours, uploaded a photo of a rainbow near Bondi Beach in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
She added a comment to the post, thanking the cast and crew of Neighbours for “making this such an unforgettable shoot.”
“Thanks @neighbours cast and crew for making this such an unforgettable shoot. See you tomorrow Melbourne.

Kate tagged Jackie Woodburne (Susan Kennedy), Alan Fletcher (Karl Kennedy), Georgie Stone (Mackenzie Hargreaves), and Ben Turland (Hendrix Greyson) from the current cast, as well as actors Tim Robards (Pierce Greyson) and Jane Allsop (Lisa Rowsthorn).
In subsequent episodes, Pierce’s kid Hendrix will be diagnosed with major lung disease as a result of him sprinting into a smoke-filled Erinsborough High to save Mackenzie (Georgie Stone).
He requires a lung transplant as a result of his shocking diagnosis. He’ll also have to deal with living on the same street as The Rodwells, who are due to relocate to Ramsay Street and whose daughter Sadie (Emerald Chan) sparked the school fire, which is the root of his significant health problems.
Hendrix and Mackenzie are rumored to be getting married in the near future. A fan recently spotted several members of the Neighbours cast filming at Melbourne Zoo, including Ben Turland in a suit and Georgie Stone in a wedding gown.
Is Pierce returning to see his son on his wedding day? We won’t have long to find out.
Pierce will return to UK screens on Friday, May 20th, and should debut on Australian screens on Thursday, June 16th, barring any scheduling adjustments.
