Even though Kate Ritchie and Isla Fisher’s time on Home & Away is over, it’s apparent that they have happy recollections of their time there.
On Instagram, Kate, who played Sally Fletcher on the iconic soap, shared a humorous throwback from an on-set moment with Isla, who played Shannon Reed.
“Not particularly professional but I’m going to blame 12 hours in the studio, youth, and most definitely Daniel Amalm for this one,” Kate wrote. “Reposting because it made me laugh this week and reminded me of the #goodolddays ??.”
A young Kate and Isla (as Sally and Shannon) couldn’t stop laughing as they discovered the very sad news that the character Michael “was washed downstream” in the shared video.
Attempting to hold back their laughter, the two young actors soon gave in and burst out laughing.
The video drew Isla’s notice, and she used the comments section to reminisce about the incident in question.
“Hahahhahahaha. I was trying not to laugh so so hard!” the actress wrote.
Many celebrities, including Dannii Minogue, a fellow Home & Away alum, reacted positively to the throwback.
“I wish I had footage like this from my filming days. There was a lot of laughter!” the Masked Singer judge wrote.
The Project host Lisa Wilkinson also took the time to comment, penning: “How adorable are you two?!! ❤️❤️❤️.”
Kate is currently participating on NOVA’s Kate, Tim, and Joel show, as well as being a proud mother to her daughter, Mae, and is not immersed in the Summer Bay drama.
Kate wrote an open letter three years ago about how much parenthood had transformed her outlook on life.
“I thought the love of my life was Home and Away… Then I met this perfect being,” Kate wrote.
“It’s been a long path, but I’m so proud and happy that I allowed myself the opportunity to realize that my greatest accomplishments didn’t have to be due to Sally Fletcher.”
