Powys-based actor set for series finale return to Neighbours

MARK Little will be one of the former Neighbours stars to return for the show’s series finale on Channel 5 later this year.

Mark, better known to Neighbours fans as Joe Mangel, will fly out from his home in Llanfyllin to join Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan for the show’s series finale, which will honour the show’s most iconic characters from all decades.

In August, fan favourites from the 37-year history of Neighbours will return to the cul-de-sac community of Ramsay Street to say their goodbyes.

The Australian soap opera premiered in 1985 and covers the lives of those who live and work in Erinsborough, a fictional Melbourne suburb.

On August 8, 1988, Little made his television debut in an episode.

In 1991, he left the series. He agreed to reprise the role for four months in 2005 as part of Neighbours’ 20th anniversary festivities.

In the Australian soap Neighbours, Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue play Scott and Charlene.

The reunion of Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan, who played power couple Scott Robinson and Charlene Mitchell in the 1980s, was previously announced.

Peter O’Brien, who portrayed Shane Ramsay in the first episode, Ian Smith, Mark Little, and Paul Keane, who played Harold Bishop, Joe Mangel, and Des Clarke, will join them.

Daniel MacPherson, who portrayed Joel Samuels, Benjamin McNair, Melissa Bell, who played Lucy Robinson, and Lesley Baker, who played Angie Rebecchi, are among the returning performers from the 1990s.

Chris Milligan, who played Kyle Canning, Morgan Baker, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, who played Izzy Hoyland, and James Mason, who portrayed Chris Pappas, are among those returning from the 2000s.

Elle Robinson’s on-screen sister Pippa Black and Andrew Robinson’s on-screen brother Jordan Patrick Smith will also return.

Olympia Valance will reprise her role as Paige Smith, with Jodi Anasta as Elly Conway, Zoe Cramond as Amy Williams, and Kate Kendall as Lauren Turner, from the show’s most recent era.

Ben Hall will reprise his role as Ned Willis, Olivia Junkeer will reprise her role as Yashvi Rebecchi, and Zima Anderson will reprise her role as Roxy Willis.

“Whether the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, or teens are your favourite decade, we will be giving something for everyone as Neighbours draws to a finale,” stated executive producer Jason Herbison.

“We’ll be commemorating the most memorable characters from different eras with the present cast, with a few surprises up our sleeves.”

After being dumped by its broadcaster, the show, which launched the careers of Hollywood stars Margot Robbie and Liam Hemsworth, will end production in June.

Filming for the series’ final month has begun, with the last episode premiering on August 1.
