Nostalgia was heavy in the air as the nation watched the cast of the beloved Aussie soap Neighbours take to the TV WEEK Logie Awards red carpet one last time.
Given that Neighbours premiered in 1985, the Ramsay Street cast has been a regular at Australia’s television industry awards for as long as we can recall.
Sadly, the programme was cancelled earlier this year when Fremantle Media’s principal partner, Channel Five of the UK, chose to sever ties with the company and stop sponsoring the project.
The show’s conclusion, which was recently filmed, will air on August 1st, 2022, after around 9000 episodes. The Neighbours team has gone above and beyond for the production, even going so far as to resurrect Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue in their legendary roles as Charlene and Scott Robinson.
For now though, it’s time to say goodbye to the cast as they take their final jaunt down the TV WEEK Logies red carpet.
