Mackenzie Booth (played by Emily Weir) is facing financial ruin unless she can find some fast cash to pay off her debts on Home and Away (1:15pm – see our TV Guide for listings).
Mackenzie has managed to keep her financial problems hidden from her boyfriend, Logan Bennett, so far (Harley Bonner).
When a debt collector shows up at Mackenzie’s house looking for her, hospital doctor Logan is taken aback.
Mackenzie dismisses Logan’s passing on of the debt collector’s card as a blunder.
She claims she’s only late on a couple of auto payments.
Logan, on the other hand, is sceptical and decides to take matters into his own hands…
Mackenzie is taken aback later that day when she learns that Logan has paid all her outstanding debts!
So WHY isn’t Mackenzie happy that Logan has come to the rescue?
After speaking with her long-lost half-brother, Xander, Jasmine Delaney (Sam Frost) is overcome with emotion (Luke Van Os).
After hearing Xander’s glowing tale of their wonderful father, Jasmine is perplexed as to how the same man abandoned her as a youngster.
She had no intention of receiving the guilt money left to her by her late father in his will.
Jasmine seeks emotional support from her lover, Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright).
She just wants to get back to her old routine.
Neither Xander nor Jasmine’s half-sister, Rose, appear to have a role in Jasmine’s life (Kirsty Marillier).
Will the siblings pack their bags and leave Summer Bay?
Meanwhile, when the Diner is robbed, Rose unexpectedly rushes into action.
She pursues the thief, resulting in his capture by police officer Cash.
Cash tries to offer Rose a serious warning about hunting bad guys and her own personal safety down at the police station.
When Rose slaps down her police badge and reveals she is related to Cash’s girlfriend, Jasmine, he is in for a DOUBLE surprise!
