Marni Little provided an update on her health on Tuesday from a hospital in Brisbane after having her right breast implant removed due to infection.
In an Instagram Q&A, the ex-wife of Home and Away actor Dan Ewing stated that she had been experiencing edema and fever but is now feeling “very well.”
Marni, 39, got the implants for just one week before having a double mastectomy two days before Christmas in 2020 after revealing she was battling breast cancer.
The comedy writer released video of herself in a comfortable outfit in the hospital ward and described the moment she realized she had sepsis due to an infection.
Sepsis is a potentially fatal infection consequence that has symptoms include fever, breathing difficulties, low blood pressure, and a rapid heartbeat.
Marni described having a temperature and having “plenty of swelling everywhere,” including in her right breast, which was “twice” the size it usually was.
Before contracting the illness, she just had the breast implants for a week, and she expressed her gratitude to be alive.
“I’m extremely good right now,” I said. I don’t give a damn about how I appear; I just wanted to live. She informed her followers that “it’s just boobs” and that “on a Friday I honestly thought I may.”
Last Saturday, Marni shared a video on Instagram in which she discussed her health struggles and wrote, “Here’s something new I wasn’t expecting.”
Okay, so here is a brief update. I’ve been all g, I told you guys (good). In reality, I wasn’t all g,’ she said in the video.
I now have one boob because my right breast implant developed an infection. It is to the left, not conveniently in the center.
So I am normalizing one boob, she continued. I plan to bring it in and will make apparel that accommodates one boob.
That seems to be a pattern. So get in touch with me if you have one boob too so we can work some magic.
Only five months had passed since Marni’s miscarriage when she was given the news that she had breast cancer in 2020.
The mother of two said in an interview with Daily Mail Australia in February of last year that she was “thankful” for the highs and lows she had gone through.
She expressed her gratitude for having her family by her side, including her husband David Robertshaw, their two children, Charlie, 3, and Archie, 7.
There is so much to be grateful for, Marni added, adding that it was a lovely year.
Even while it’s simple to ask “Why do these things happen?” she continued, she would have been seven months pregnant had the miscarriage not occurred.
“That would have required another complete conversation, and we don’t know how that would have looked,” the speaker says.
Even though she and David described the pregnancy loss as a “extremely terrible period,” she never lost sight of how fortunate she was to have two healthy sons.
Losing a baby is heartbreaking, and I wouldn’t want it to happen to anyone. But we do have two gorgeous boys, and I count myself very fortunate. This was found pretty early, she noted.
Dan, a former Home and Away actor, and Marni were blessed with a son, Archie Grason, in 2014. 2016 saw their breakup.
She wed David in a private ceremony in Strath Creek, Victoria, in October 2018. Charlie, their son, was born in May 2019.
