The former star of Home and Away has had a memorable day, which has prompted an outpouring of sympathy.
Johnny Ruffo, the former star of Home and Away, is fighting cancer, but that won’t stop him from appreciating the finer things in life.
On his 34th birthday, the singer and actor took to Instagram to greet well-wishers.
He commented, “Thanks everyone for all the birthday greetings,” beside a photo of some delectable-looking sweets.
The delicious delicacies are put on a dish with a chocolate coating that reads “Happy Birthday.”
“Happy birthday Johnny! We all love you,” SWIISH founder and former Seven TV presenter Sally Obermeder wrote.
“Seeing that smile? The gift is all mine,” Kylie Gillies added.
Felicity Eggington, comedian Rhonda Burchmore, and fellow Home and Away actor Kyle Pryor were among the celebrities who wished the star well.
On February 23, Johnny shared an upsetting photo of his radiation treatment mask, illustrating the realities of his cancer experience.
“Another round of radiation on the cards,” he wrote.
“Still fighting this mofo!”
He thanked his partner Tahnee Sims for “the love, the laughs, and for taking care of me” on Valentine’s Day.
Johnny is fighting his second battle with brain cancer, having been diagnosed and treated for the disease in 2017.
After his cancer reappeared in late 2020, he gave his fans regular social media updates on his second health battle.
“After an unexpected week of seizures and excruciating headaches it is with a heavy heart that I have to let you know I now have another huge battle ahead of me as my brain cancer has returned,” he wrote after his second diagnosis.
“Though I will dig deep and beat this s**t disease again.”
Since then, each post has been met with an outpouring of love and support.
Fans maintained the custom with his birthday post.
“Happy birthday Johnny, your big smile is priceless,” one follower wrote.
