Sophie Bloom, who recently made her debut on the Australian serial as Neve Spicer, talks about her acting career and family life with the Daily Star.
Sophie Bloom is a fictional character. Last month, Neve Spicer made an unexpected appearance on Home and Away as Logan Bennett’s ex-girlfriend.
Logan’s friendship with Mackenzie Booth was strained when Neve showed up in Summer Bay, believing Logan had been dead for two years.
Despite this, Logan allowed her to live with the couple because he wanted to help her after claiming she had PTSD.
Fans of the serial may recognize Sophie from her role as teenager Freya Duric in 2009.
Between 2014 and 2017, she played Vivian Maguire in the Australian drama series for all four seasons.
Off-screen, she is happily married to Danny Bloom, with whom she has two young sons named Dylan and Harley.
Daily Star looks back at her TV career, family life, and nudist beach scenes to commemorate her return to the drama.
Sophie married Danny in a small ceremony in Byron Bay, Australia, in December 2016 after six years of dating.
The Australian actress flaunted her tiny body in an off-the-shoulder bridal gown.
When Danny locked lips with the bride, the audience erupted in cheers.
Sophie styled her blonde tresses in an updo and added a stylish flower headpiece.
Sophie had nine bridesmaids, including Love Child co-star Harriet Dyer, who wore white and green floral bouquets to match her gown.
Sophie was cast in Home and Away after making guest roles in a number of television shows.
She played Xavier Austin’s girlfriend in the soap opera (David Jones-Roberts). A racy sequence in which she kissed Nicole Frankli is one of her most remembered moments from the show.
She is most recognized for her role in the film Love Child.
She was asked whether she would be satisfied if the show terminated when the fourth and final series ended.
According to the Daily Telegraph, she said: “I’d be content if this was the final season.
“I have the most supportive husband and family and friends who just want me to be able to do what makes me happy.
“There has been such growth in the roles becoming available.”
She added she was “grateful to have scored the role in a cast full of amazing women”.
Nudist beach scenes
Sophie stripped down for a scene on a “nudist” beach in La Perouse, Sydney, in 2017.
She was photographed topless with her co-star Harriet Gordon-Anderson, resting face down on brightly colored towels.
They were also wearing skin-colored bandeau tops and bare underpants while going along the beach.
The beige bras and underpants are thought to have been removed in post-production to make the pair appear starker.
The couple was also seen splashing around in the water, their hands covering their chests.
They were also seen kneeling in the water above their tops’ visibility in the obscene photos, giving the appearance that they were skinny dipping.
Life in the family
Sophie and Danny welcomed their first child in October of 2018.
After he was delivered, the actress turned to Instagram to share a photo of her baby boy with the caption: “You swooped down from the sky like a bolt of lightning, igniting a fire in our hearts. You are everything, little man, so welcome.”
Harley, the couple’s second child, was born in December 2020.
Sophie shared a photo of him clutching Harley on Instagram to announce his birth.
She proudly wrote alongside the post: “The cutest dark-haired squish arrived in a flash! Somehow making me the happiest Mum of TWO, when I could have sworn I was still a teenager?”
The actress frequently posts nice family photos to Instagram.
Sophie recently tweeted a photo of herself and her son attending a Transformers conference.
She joked in the snap caption, which showed her son posing behind one of the robots: “Just flew in from a Transformers convention. And boy my arms are tired.”
