It’s time for Mackenzie to face the music – or in this case, a court sentencing hearing – in the wake of her illegal poker nights.
A hefty fine is likely – or worse, jail. Will the fallout cost Mac her freedom?
Mac (Emily Weir), the bar owner in Home And Away, is confident she’ll go to prison – and believes she deserves it.

Dean (Patrick O’Connor), her brother who has served time in prison, assures her that she will be well. With the worst-case scenario in mind, Mackenzie tries to close up loose ends, including selling Salt.
“The poker nights put a lot of relationships under stress right away,” Emily, 30, tells TV WEEK.
“Mackenzie feels guilty for the most of it, considering that her massive debt is what brought it all to reality in the first place.”
Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) arrives at work the next day to discover a note from Mac telling her to take over the company. Felicity is taken aback and realises the gravity of her situation. She also feels bad about assisting with the poker nights.

Mac ruminates on every awful decision she’s made at home. She apologises for being selfishly and asks Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) to look after her brother.
Mac can’t seem to move her feet on the day of her sentence. Dean promises her that he will be there for her every step of the way. They drive to court together and await her verdict…
“Filming this storyline was an incredible whirlwind,” Emily says. “It was high intensity and full of emotion all the way through.”

As the new gym office administrator, Chloe (Sam Barrett) is ready to prove her worth.
However, when she hears how much Mia (Anna Samson) and Tane spent for the gym — in cash – she becomes irritated with Tane (Ethan Browne). Tane instructs her to mind her own business when she approaches him for answers.
