The world of Hendrix Grayson (Benny Turland) was flipped upside down when he was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in Neighbours.

In recent weeks, the soap’s mainstay has developed a severe cough, which he assumed was just a sign of a cold.

The cough, on the other hand, has persisted, and on Thursday’s (May 5) episode of the Channel 5 soap, he was struggling to breathe after another coughing fit.

Mackenzie Harvgreaves (Georgie Stone) was worried about her boyfriend, so she took him to the hospital.

Hendrix tried to convince Mackenzie that nothing to be concerned about, but it was evident that he was more concerned than he let on.

He later received a call notifying him that his test results had returned, prompting him to rush to the hospital, eager to learn what he was up against.

The doctor informed him that he has sarcoidosis, which is normally treatable.

The sarcoidosis, however, has evolved into pulmonary fibrosis, which is a lung condition that happens when the lung tissue is injured.

Hendrix was caught aback by the diagnosis and inquired about the treatment options with the doctor.

The doctor, on the other hand, told him that there was no cure for his disease and that his only alternative was a lung transplant.

Will Jimi Hendrix be able to accept this information?
