New Home and Away promo sees a collapse, a drowning and a proposition

Salt’s shady poker sessions approach a climax in a new Home and Away commercial, as Tane collapses, a new character faces an emergency, and Mackenzie receives an indecent proposal.

Mackenzie (Emily Weir) has hosted two underground poker evenings at Salt without any problems up until last week. Felicity (Jacqui Purvis) was in charge of bringing in the players, each of whom would place large bets and, more crucially, spend large amounts of money behind the bar.

Mackenzie was able to pay off her obligations as a result of the events, and while they didn’t totally cure her financial problems, they did make things a lot more stable. So she put an end to the poker nights and was ready to get back to work.

That was until one of the top players, Nathan (Ryan Panizza), arrived to Salt in a terrible mood.

He claimed he had been beaten up by those to whom he owed money and requested Mac to arrange another poker night so he could win enough money to repay them. She refused, but feeling terrible for him, she lent him the money to settle his obligations, despite the fact that it meant she wouldn’t be able to pay her rent cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval cheval (Shane Withington).

Nathan surprised her by paying her back swiftly and with a large interest rate! She eventually gave in and agreed to organise another poker night, but she was taken aback when Nathan introduced her to one of his friends, PK (Ryan Johnson), who was interested in participating.

Mac stated that they had a large waiting list for tables and that they thoroughly investigated all potential players, but she quickly changed her mind when PK urged her to choose her own pricing.

As the money poured in from their third poker tournament, PK approached Mac with a business proposition.

He desired an intimate evening with only one table and ten participants… with a buy-in of $5000 per player!

Mac accepts to PK’s one-time event because the prospect of paying off her obligations in one night is too appealing. PK, however, has more on his mind than just a poker night, as a new promo reveals – he’s trouble, and he’s about to make Mackenzie an unlawful proposal.

Mackenzie is seen strolling down a hotel hallway in the trailer.

As we flash back to the moment PK asked Mackenzie to host the VIP event at Salt, PK says to Mac, “I’d like to make you an offer.”

It isn’t, however, his only offer to Mackenzie.

“PK recommends a nasty repayment plan,” according to the synopsis for next Tuesday’s episode, implying that things haven’t gone as planned.

“One night with me, and all of your problems will vanish,” he says sinisterly.

The exclusive event will take place the following week. With Ryder (Lukas Radovich) gone to his new job on a cruise ship, Mackenzie and Felicity are left to host the night, which concerns Felicity.

Felicity seems apprehensive as she verifies with Mackenzie, “our largest poker night yet is tomorrow, and it’ll just be the two of us staffing it?” in another preview that ran after Thursday’s episode and depicts scenes from next Monday’s episode.

However, it appears that Mackenzie will be without Felicity’s backing!

In another scenario, PK suggests to Mackenzie that they should let Felicity go for the night. “She is my right hand gal,” Mac insists, but PK points out that she is the sister of a cop.

Mackenzie appears to be alone in a room full of gamblers, and her decision will cost her a lot of money.

As they settle around one of the poker tables, Ziggy (Sophie Dillman) advises her, “You can’t go through with this.” “Are you aware of that?”

Mackenzie’s debt situation, however, appears to have grown out of hand, as she says, “Now I owe $150,000!”

Clearly, her one night with PK didn’t provide her with the financial independence she expected, but it’s unclear how she managed to pile up so much additional debt.

She pauses as she walks along the hotel corridor, an anxious expression on her face.

We hear her contemplate, “What option do I have?”

When Ziggy informs Dean (Patrick O’Connor) what his sister is thinking, he is understandably upset.

“What if Mac goes ahead and does it?” Ziggy murmurs.

Dean exclaims, “We have to find her tonight!”

We watch Mackenzie arrive at the hotel room, toss her head back in frustration, and prepare to knock during a sequence of blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shots at the close of the promo.

Will she comply with PK’s heinous request and spend the night with him?

The drama isn’t just about Mackenzie, as the trailer shows Tane (Ethan Browne) collapsing.

Tane fell at the gym only six months ago, after stalker Anne Sherman laced his drink (Megan Smart). She then proceeded to put up a pesticide sprayer that sprayed poisonous organophosphate on him.

Tane was nearly killed in the incident, while Martha Stewart (Belinda Giblin) and Marilyn Chambers were hospitalised after the mist spread upstairs into a Salt gathering (Emily Symons).

Now, six months later, Tane appears to be on the verge of collapsing in the Surf Club building – this time, upstairs at Salt. Flick shouts “call an ambulance!” before addressing Tane in the new promo.

Felicity appears to be terrified as she crouches over her partner, who is writhing in pain.

Is it possible that the incident happened at one of the poker nights, or is it unrelated?

Millie (Zara Zoe) is then shown fighting underwater while wearing her hospital wristband and a square plaster across her right brow.

Millie was first seen in Wednesday’s episode, when Jasmine (Sam Frost) and Xander (Luke Van Os) came across her and Logan’s (Harley Bonner) automobiles on Old Yabbie Creek Road after they collided. Millie was travelling with her best friend Jo, who died as a result of her injuries when she exited the vehicle to seek assistance.

What brings Millie to her knees in the waters off Summer Bay?

Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) appears to dive into the sea in his lifeguard costume to save her.

Then we observe an unknown figure smash Salt to bits.

First, a large amount of ice appears to tumble down the edge of the bar.

The figure then unlocks the wine fridge and throws a bottle across the room, destroying it.

Finally, we see Jasmine stroll towards a police cordon set up on the beach as the text says “It’s about to explode.”

Cash (Nicholas Cartwright), Rose (Kirsty Marillier), and a number of officers, as well as at least two forensic officers in blue suits, are standing around.

Is Millie still alive after her ordeal?

Next week on Seven, Home, and Away is destined to be an unmissable week.
