Sam Frost’s tribute to her brother Alex after his shock Survivor exit

Alex Frost had to make the difficult decision to leave Australian Survivor due to a devastating injury that had him in excruciating discomfort for the last few episodes.

Alex said that the injury was “killing him,” and that he wanted his tribe to vote him out at tribal council.

“Going into tonight, I had a pretty big decision on my mind. That decision is that… I want to be voted out. I want you guys to collectively vote me out,” he told them.

However, because his tribe members wanted him to keep to the strategy and stay in the game, Alex chose to withdraw from the competition and send himself home.

Alex Frost, the younger brother of former The Bachelorette Australia and Home and Away star Sam Frost, was heartbroken when he was eliminated from the competition.

Sam sent a heartfelt message to her Survivor super-fan sibling in an emotional tribute.

“Despite never smiling in photos.. you are hands down the biggest legend with the softest and kindest soul,” Sam wrote on Instagram. “Everyone who meets you can see and feel the magic within you.

“The world’s Number 1 Survivor super fan finally got a chance to play… only to get injured day 1. But you still gave it you’re all. You played with authenticity, integrity, and heart,” she continued.

“I’m incredibly proud of you. Hopefully, you can get your body in tip-top shape, and get a chance at redemption one day. I’m going to miss seeing your cute little head on the screen. You’re a superstar in my eyes. Love you so much bro. Thank you to the Water team for taking him under your wings.”

Khanh Ong and Mark Wales, among Alex’s co-stars, expressed their regrets, noting how difficult it would have been to leave the game. Sophie Cachia, on the other hand, penned her own lengthy homage.

“This was horrible. A genuinely gorgeous guy who couldn’t do it anymore,” Sophie wrote on Instagram.

“I felt for Alex terribly that he left the game that way, and then had to go back to camp with such guilt that I was still there and he was gone. He was loved by EVERYONE, such a loss around camp and the game.

“I didn’t get much time with you – but in the time I did – you’re a legend and I admire you so much for making that call on your own terms. Nothing but respect. Off to face another day.”

Alex competes against his sister Sam’s boyfriend, Jay Bruno, on Australian Survivor: Blood V Water, which sees “family members” of varied degrees join on together.

“I had to have someone that was close to family and at the time he was,” Jay explained to Sydney Confidential of competing with Alex.

Jay and Sam, on the other hand, have split up since filming Survivor. However, it appears that the boys are still good friends.

With Alex out of the picture, it’s up to Jay to bring the duo home.
