Olympia Valance will return to Neighbours before the series’ conclusion, according to reports.
The actress who played Paige Smith will return to the show for its final episode, which is expected to be a double-episode and will run on August 1.
In a statement, Olmypia stated, “Neighbours has always felt like home to me.” ‘It was my first acting gig, and I learned a lot from it.’
‘There’s a reason why Neighbours is known as the best training ground on television.’
‘We are happy to have Olympia join us for the celebrations, she is a much-loved cast member and character, and she always adds a tremendous enthusiasm to the set,’ said Neighbours Executive Producer Jason Herbison.
Olympia, 29, first appeared on the Australian serial in 2014 and played Paige for several seasons.
Paige left Erinsborough for the first time in 2018, however she returned in 2020 as part of the show’s 35th anniversary festivities.
Olympia will join a slew of Ramsay Street luminaries returning for the last episode, including breakout stars Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan, who played Charlene and Scott Robinson, one of the show’s most renowned couples.
According to a statement sent to Twitter on Sunday by soap boss Jason, the show is “thrilled” to be welcoming them back.
‘Scott and Charlene are the ultimate Neighbours couple and it would not feel right to end the show without them,’ the executive producer commented.
‘We are thrilled that Jason and Kylie have come home to play a very special part in our series finale…
‘It has been an emotional experience for them, for us and I’m sure it will be for our viewers.’
